Any chance we can get that maphack hud thing banned?

Well this was my perception in this particular moment. In retroperspective it might have been wrong and you could be right.

Maybe im just very bitter inside xD. To me all this streaming / social media seems like a catalysator of the inherent narciscm of humanity and maybe i see it sometimes where there is none.

you are def right with the point that if it has big value to him, it doesnt mean it has to be equally important to me and vice versa.

From my point of view he could have opened the Thread just with:

Hi guys , what is your opinion on THUD. I see many people using it, and since it has an implemented Map-Hack i do think that it gives people an unfair advantage like botting.

One of my hobbies is speedrunning D3 and my goal is to be one of the best speedrunners at this game one day but i do think that THUD and Bots ruin the chance of D3 to be a competitive game.

What is your opinion about that?

But…overall you do have a point Die, cant argue with that. Nevertheless, i had fun writing the moviescript xD

And also pretty lucky. Whenever i join a pub game…for keys people stick together like glue. And i sit infront of my screen, scratching my head and think: WHYYYYYY, Why do you do this? It would be 10 times more effective to spread out xD

Because they want to be the star in your eye …or because they just want to make sure they get all the loot without having to run across the screen…either one, consider yourself lucky to be surrounded by fans

Haha, you got me wrong there xD. I didnt say they stick to me like glue, i wrote they stick together.

I mean if there wasnt a 30 seconds timer, i would get the point: there would be a chance you miss keys. But as it is designed, i simply do not understand it. But well…maybe i do miss sth

I agree. The first part invites all kinds of interpretations of character and thus the inevitable derail of a thread. On the other hand, had he left that out, we wouldn’t have gotten that awesome moviescript, so im kind of conflicted lol.

Speaking of making competitive outlets, at my previous job, we had a “shoe-tieing” contest every week (how fast can you double knot). I always got second, and blamed it on the shoelace material which hampered both knot pulls. First place was a jimmy johns gift card, sometimes a lottery scratch off ticket so I felt like I was robbed lol. It is what it is. Trivial, but was fun.

GoD DH with shatter shot and plenty of area damage is sick quick at steamrolling T16 rifts.

Ahahaha. I do love our society. Instead of giving a talented mathematician a desk some time, a good paycheck and ask him to solve fermats last problem, i let him participate in a shoe-tieing contest. I just had a bitter sweet laugh. Thx for that xD

Maybe his last theorem is already solved, but im sure there are better ways to use skill and brainpower xD

One of the things i never understood is why fourier transformations work, i just accepted that they do…and that you can use them. But its in my box of “black magic” ^^

you wanna know why Rockys statue still stands? i mean the real reason?? because the city council didnt want to pay a heavy hauler crane to have it removed due to the extreme weight of the thing

Hehe, one could argue about wether D3 is a video game or a slot-machine that pretends to be a video-game xD

There’s a big speedrun community (on speedrun dot com) for D3. They have many different categories, and all runs need to be documented with video evidence proving you did not use anything shady. So I’d recommend checking it out!

I personally love doing ng+ leveling speedruns there, but there are other categories as well.

I really wanted to see your profile to see how the best of the best sets up their characters to be the fastest speed runner in the game, sadly you are hiding.

Turn the clock back. The T-Hud coder offered to stop supporting if Blizzard issued “cease and desist” order. Blizzard should of just hired the T-Hud coder, paid for the software, then incorporated some of it into D3. Sony could of done the same with Bleem software to allow those with playstation consoles to play same game using pc.

They did, actually. The PSX emulation on the PS3 and PSP consoles was made by the bleem dude.

There are so many bugs that have been in the game since conception, I don’t expect the devs to stop all the map hacks. It so far doesn’t seem like priority.

It’s very sad if you use them though, you might as well be cheating at solitaire.

Yeah, I agree with that. It would take some of the fun out of it.

I’ve seen some players finding pylons very easily, so I guess they were using this cheat too.

Sony sued and won against Bleem emulator. Sony could of bought, then used it for use only on Sony branded pc. They didn’t. Sony pc failed. I was extending similar idea in a sense to T-Hud. Blizzard could of taken down it, then used the code to add QoL perhaps.

And since it was a speed run your deeds will only be remembered for a little while.

If you’re interested in the NG+ category - the D3 “speedrun equivalent” to the Sprinter conquest - then I always show my build after a run so people can copy or verify it. I can’t post links here but I’ll try to guide you to a video if requested. No TurboHUD (or other mods) used of course.
