Angelic Crucible on Darklight

Why would it be allowed for Blessed Hammer on darklight? It makes this item practically useless!

Simply rng. That said, if you have more angelic crucibles that you’re willing to use, you’re more than free to use them again on darklight, in hopes of getting the angelic crucible power you desire.

So, much like the Primals, the chance of actually getting something useful is actually pretty small. I can’t remember when I’ve actually had a primal that I could use. It seems as if this new feature won’t be much different. sigh…

You can keep using angelic crucible on any item u want over and over as if u were enchanting something

Any power can roll on amy item. You won’t get a specific power, just because you used the crucible on a specific item. LoL.

In the case of Crucibles, you can control which item you want to be a ‘primal’. Sure the stats are random and the sanctified power is a random roll of three possible powers, but there’s still drastic improvement over getting completely random primal items.

Plus with the crucible drop rate being so high, you can keep using them until you get something useful. Perfect? Maaaaybe. But at least something usable.

Three crucibles on Darklight and everyone added blessed hammer. Really, this is just bad luck?

Yes.

The chance of getting the blessed hammer power is 1/3.
The chance of getting the blessed hammer power X times in a row is (1/3)^X.
The chance of getting the blessed hammer power 3 times in a row is (1/3)^3 = 1/27.

Sadly yes, it’s bad luck. For example, I recently made a crusader and had a darklight that I used a crucible on. The first crucible gave it the blessed hammer effect, meanwhile the second crucible gave it the fist of heaven crucible power, which made leveling to 70 go by in a breeze.

The very first time I sanctified an item, it took 7 before I got the one I was trying for.

The chance of not getting the power you wanted is 2/3.
The chance of not getting the power you wanted X times in a row = (2/3)^X
The chance of not getting the power you wanted 7 times in a row = (2/3)^7 = 128/2187 = 0.058527

So, almost 6% of players would get this result.
Unlucky, but not broken.

Yep!

I don’t mean to imply broken. I was just giving an example to Ritsar that bad luck does happen.

Indeed, but at 0.058527, that’s roughly 1 in 17 players so it’s not that unlucky.

Yes, a little more patience. It took five attempts but now I have a Darklight that is a whole lot of fun! Thanks for putting up with my complaining!
