Amor fati - another X-File

  • Who is Inarius?
  • Who is Lilith?
  • How was Sanctuary created?

Given that the Eternal Conflict was fought out before Sanctuary was created, all of the following assumptions must be correct;

Angels did not win a single victory in the events of Diablo I - Diablo III. Each event cemented the depravity within and beyond Sanctuary in a contrasting real universe that houses this artificially created hell.

Rather, literally all of the angels involved are technically apostates and committing sacrilege. From this one can conclude that the good in the games has not been mentioned so far.

In a pocket universe within Sanctuary, the Stone of Creation, what is now the real world for the residents, was hidden and destroyed. Another, and thus unsolvable knot was created. Sanctuary thus finds its place in eternity.

Reality and reality have always been mixed and the player of the Diablo series is not only deceived but bound to the twisted content. In fact, in this context, the player even becomes a kind of nephalem himself. Through the time invested in the game and the energy expended in the fight against the blatant evil, he justifies his raison d’être and creates one, his, reality in reality - another effect of depravity, so evil eats its way into all worlds - a stroke of genius .

My conclusion is that all the opened doors in the games were walked through unprepared. The supposed good turns out to be a puppet and made the first move. Lilith returns because she is victorious.

It is unclear at a given time whether and how Inarius is decoupled from the Eternal Conflict, because he himself connected Sanctuary to his existence with the help of the World Stone and its destruction.

The truth is somewhere in Diablo IV, luckily Inarius and Lilith know it, so as a player you will find deceit and twisted facts everywhere and amuse yourself or just marvel. It should be mentioned that Inaruis already showed weakness when he confided in Lilith and she created a world and children for him.

As a player, you have to deny everything, that alone is devilish. It can be assumed that all actions taken are political and that there are several truths. The real truth hasn’t found a place yet - a stillbirth? Deception, deception and concealment have so far been the means of first choice, there is nothing tangible besides that. One will even have to believe the lie in order to ultimately be able to resist and serve it. And that is the end in the beginning.

Oblivion, is this true? Anything in the lore books?

No, sometimes one of them is augmented, if you have three flawless gems and a legendary one at rank 50+ (or a Whisper of Atonement).

But, I hate it when my realities get mixed. Makes things so much more confusing. At least d4 will allow mixing reality with realty. Maybe even royalty.

Where’s @Oblivion when you need them?

Truth be told, I’m actually puzzled by most of the OP. So I don’t have much to say pertaining it.

Quit deleting your posts before I get to read them! Ha!

I just wanted to see what Oblivion had to say about OPs comments. He is a font of knowledge.

I’m afraid, I have little to say this time around.

Hmm, yes and no. In Diablo 1 and 2, the Eternal Conflict came at to a halt, as Hell was busy with with their Civil War of Azmodan versus Belial, and Heaven’s forces were pretty much on standby. So yes, angels didn’t achieve a victory in the sense that there weren’t any major battles being fought during that time (well except for some skirmishes that were being fought within Hell by some angels according to D:I I believe). That said, angels, did in a way achieved victory, albeit with the help of Humans, in Diablo 2, when Tyrael chose to destroy the Worldstone, thus stopping the prime evils plan of corrupting mankind, for if such a thing came to pass, Heaven would lose to the combine might of Hell and corrupted humans/nephalems.

Also, they achieved another victory, again with the help of the Nephalem, in D3, whereas they saw the defeat of The Singular Prime Evil Diablo.

So long story short, no the High Heavens didn’t achieve a single victory via battle during the events of Diablo 1, 2, and 3; however, they did attain indirect victories and avoided absolute defeat.
