I am having the same exact problem but my system is brand new and never had the old Razer Chroma installed. It started with a fresh install of Razer Synapse 3. I am unable to get D3 to launch.

Hey, Alu! I moved you over to a new thread since the other one was quite old. There is a different workaround that only works for Diablo III, so if you are running into similar issues with other games like Overwatch following the guide and contacting Razer support as needed is recommended. For the workaround to determine if this is a Razer Chroma issue, try the following steps:

  1. Go to the Documents folder.
  2. Select the Diablo III folder.
  3. Open the D3prefs.txt file using Notepad.
  4. Add or Edit the following line. The value should be 1, like so:
    DisableChromaEffects “1”
  5. Save the file and try Diablo III again.

Checking the crash logs, the installation location is a bit odd. D:\World of Warcraft Games\Diablo III\x64 If this is installed within another game installation, try uninstalling and reinstalling Diablo III to a different folder.

If it continues, gather a DxDiag file. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:
