If you get the Altar of Rites level requirement removal you cannot transmute any items in kanais cube to progress the season, Hardlocking you from getting anything past chapter 4 as it sets all item levels to 1 and kanais cube only allows level 70 Rares for the upgrade.
You mean upgrade rare? For the 57 trillionth time, craft Sovereign item and transmute it.

That did help, honestly, but the issue doesn’t work with rings or amulets, preventing any upgrades to legendary using those still. Thanks for fix though.
It’s the same “issue” - seems you are crafting a wrong ring/amulet
Level 70 Rings/Amulets using marquise gems, the sovereign rings/amulets are what I first tried and it would only keep telling me transmute failed It only worked when I used a chestplate.
Are you sure you have enough Death Breaths & other mats to transmute?
I made sure, over 600 of standard mats and 50+ Death breath, I was gonna try and get the Wedding Band. And, as I said, it worked on the chestplate even though the rings didn’t work.
I’ve transmuted tenths of yellow rings and it all went okay. Maybe you should record a video of you:
- crafting a ring at the jeweler
- putting the ring into the cube
- trying to transmute it
and post it somewhere, so anyone can pinpoint your mistake or confirm a bug.
It burned up the last of my gems but all I proved is that I’m dyslexic and rings with similar names can easily confuse me. Apologies.

Since I always play Solo these days, I run with a Follower. So, when it’s time to craft a Level 70 Ring or Amulet, I craft a Follower Amulet (a.k.a. Token by some). It does not cost you a Marquis. And when you hit Level 70, you can upgrade it to Legendary. (Your Follower will Thank You for it).
