Level requirement removed. Turns out it was a trick. All that gear I saved so I could have fun leveling up new characters is now back to level 70.
I thought there was some kind of bug on using level 70 requirement removed gear to level up during the Season, because it seemed like after a few minutes in any new area, the game thought that I was level 70, playing at level 70, in a T6 game, and gave me the normal XP it would have assigned if that was the case, rather than me being in a level 1 game using level 70 gear at T6.
So all that gear I saved is just taking up space, and I’ll have to throw most of that out too.
(Yeah, I know, I can actually remove the level requirement with the Gem of Ease, but I’m not looking forward to the 30 Greater Rifts it takes to do each set, and the 35 more for the supporting gear, so I probably won’t.)
Pure comedy. First your rant about not being able to use TurboHud anymore. Now not understanding the workings of a seasonal effect not present anymore.
(Sorry for making fun of you. I have made laughable mistakes myself).
You can just do one leveling set with non class specific items and voila, every class can use it. Not perfect for any class perhaps, but good enough that solo leveling is a 5 min affair nonetheless. Hell, you can just keep it to the items that give bonus XP to further reduce the grifts you have to do.
I usually just go with a gem of ease in a weapon socket and some hellfire amulet/ring… and a bucket load of paragon points if I need to level up an alt.
Especially with season 28 paragon points were easy to get.
I just was looking through my inventory tonight, and realized…
WHY THE HELL WAS I KEEPING ALL THESE PARTIALLY LEVELED LEGENDARY GEMS!?!?!!?!?!
Not to mention I had a pile of Gem of Ease taking up half a character page.
So I sold all of them. ALL OF THEM. Gone.
I am just keeping one set of Legendary gems from now on. I mean, you can farm up 125 EN gems if you want something to level up higher and use for Augments…
I cleared out nearly a stash page and a half with that alone.
Except that the Altar of Rites is returning in Season 30 as a permanent feature across ALL Game Modes. (Normal, Hardcore, Season & non-Season).
Of course, I’m sure each new Seasonal Character will have to unlock the Seals again. But, if you have Alternates, they will be able to take advantage of it. (After all, you’ll have to farm new gear for the Season anyway).
And, as far as non-Season goes, your Altar of Rites Seals and Potions only need to be unlocked once.
Season 30 will bring fresh gameplay balances and bug fixes to reinvigorate your adventures but introduce no new theme. Instead, this Season will usher in the permanent return of a community-favorite theme, Rites of Sanctuary, which will be playable across all modes.
I really didn’t care about the no level requirement node after levelling my first character.
Even with only a max level Gem of Ease in an ancient two hander and no other level 70’s or XP boosting items it takes like no time to get to 70. By the time I want to make another character it taking me 5 minutes or 20 to get to 70 doesn’t make any difference to me.
Heh. I have a lot of them, too. Part of it was I figured, okay, I might have two or three characters who could use them, and I want some extras at high level for augments. But you’re right: 1) I almost never play non-seasonal anyway, and 2) anything under 125 isn’t worth the time and effort to level up for augments.
That ought to get me a fair bit of stash space back.
I started going through my Non Seasonal stash and also realized that those partially levelled gems are now redundant with the addition of Whispers. Gone.
