Also keep in mind when the season ends lod monk is losing like 10+ tiers of damage. Tal Rasha, Blood Nova etc will still be very strong. After this season monks not going to be very amazing unless they redo another set. Call it a farewell tour!
Well, unless they nerf it (which they shouldn’t), LoD WoL Monk is still going to be a really solid build. Tal, Trag, and Raekor are a little stronger, and Akkhan, Rathma, LoD Necro, and Marauder are about equal. Everything else is weaker.
So LoD WoL will definitely be in the top 10, and probably in the top 5.

Of course that may depend on buffs/nerfs on items and sets and the specific season’s effects for season 28, but yeah all else staying same season 26 showed that with no real season effect LoD Wol and Raekor were two of the strongest builds around. Think LOD WOL even beat Inna by the end of the season on push strength while it was way less played build. 
So if nothing changes majorly with buffs or nerfs in season 28 it will be strong and for sure the strongest monk builds even if many people do not like the mechanics of the build (to me it really feels to contrived and unnatural the way it plays :P, but that is just my opinion), how strong will also depend on the season’s effects where S27 went a bit wild adding a very strong seasonal effect to a build that was already one of strongest in game.
any news when s27 finishes? Curious to see what the patch notes/changes for s28 offer as to whether or not I’ll bother with anything other than the seasonal journey

An interesting little update on a few of these numbers: up near the top, Tal and Trag have not budged from the 154.4 mark- they are still right where they were, over a month ago. But Raekor has moved up to 154.6, giving it the #2 spot!
That’s especially noteworthy since there are only about 50 total GR150 clears recorded with Raekor this season, compared to around 800 for Trag and 1500 for Tal. Just goes to show how strong that WW pull is.
LoD Wave of Light, of course, is still in first by a mile, with a 160.3 adjusted clear.
the only low paragon reakor US clear is 2200 with lebran’s alt account. The others are like 6-10k+ paragons lol.
Here are the final adjusted clear numbers on all the season 27 builds. A few things went up or down on the chart based on improved clears as well as a banwave, but the overall picture remained pretty similar.
The top 10:
- 1: LoD WoL Monk, adjusted 160.3
- 2: Tal Meteor Wiz, adjusted 154.7
- 3: Trag Nova Necro, adjusted 154.4
- 4: Raekor Spear Barb, adjusted 154.2
- 5: LoD HotA Barb, adjusted 153.8
- 6: Mundu SB WD, adjusted 153.5
- 7: Monkey King WoL Monk, adjusted 153.2
- 8: Arachyr Spider WD, adjusted 152.6
- 9: Marauder CA DH, adjusted 152.5
- 10: Rathma AotD Necro, adjusted 152.4
LoD Monk was obviously way out in front of everything else. The same spread between #1 LoD Monk and #2 Tal Wiz (5.6 tiers), would then take you from #2 Tal Wiz down to 22nd place.

One last thing: I decided to take a look at the difference between the numbers for all builds in Season 27, and those in State of Set, to see how much power different abilities might have been adding.
The biggest increases all went to Witch Doctor (Bogadile power) and Monk (Hundred Fists and Wave of Light powers), which occupy the top 7 spots. The remaining 3 of the top 10 go to DH (Strafe) and Crusader (Fist of the Heavens)
