Add a slot in Canais Cube

4 slots in Canais please :wink: This would add some depth to the game. What do you think?

What would the fourth slot be for?

One free slot for every of the items for example

This still doesn’t say what the fourth slot would be. Each three slots cover every piece of our gear. Now if it is for potions then that is something that has been asked before.

Power Creep is a thing because Blizzard does not want to nerf anything unless they have no other choice (The only nerfed thing I can remember are zDPSXP builds, and Twister wiz). Considering that blizz plans to continue to “balance”, power creep will be a sure-thing. Of course, if they don’t up the GR limit past 150, power creep also won’t matter.

However, we do have an issue in that, outside of LoN builds, most builds are forced to a specific piece in every slot, and in each of the Kanai’s Cube slots (Note the K, not the C)

Personally speaking, while adding just a 4th slot that you can put any power in would result in just another pigeon-holed power, adding in, say, more gear-specific slots (I.E. Gloves/Shoulder, Bracer/Belt, Chest/Pants, Helm/Boots, ect) would give SOME amount of freedom, for a minimal power creep boost (Most of the powers on those tend to be utility/defensive, with only a very, VERY few offensive boosts)

I would say a good 4th slot would be a gem slot.

Pretty sure he meant, a free slot for anything (armor, jewelry, weapons, whatever).

So you could have 1 armor, 1 jewelry and 2 weapons.

If he meant that then we would have a problem because then some choices would be way OP’d. Builds that need a Ring of the Royal Grandeur could use CoE for the extra jewelry and it would be very powerful. Some builds might even have it better with two armors. That can be a nightmare to balance and I don’t think Blizz would do it.

I frequently wish I could cube a weapon and an off hand, like a bow and a quiver. For example, a “Dawn” for cooldown and a quiver for skills. So, a separate slot for off-hand items like quiver, shield, mojo, etc. would be nice. But … I guess even THAT could be abused. Oh well.

Try the fourth cube slot as a seasonal theme. If it is OP / unbalanced (like that’s never happened before…) then so what, it’s only for a season.

Smartloot option: enable you to pick class for loot drops.

I like this one, taking into consideration we have LoD now.
