I have an annoying issue/bug. My account name AutumnsAngel is showing up in weird places that my Character names should be showing instead, some even in character achievements and actual playing use too.
For Example… One of my characters that i named MagicMomma for some reason doesn’t show her name when playing her… even though it shows that is her name in my characters list.
Instead when I play her, her name shows up to me and other players as my account name AutumnsAngel, RATHER than her true name MagicMomma… which isn’t a good thing.
It’s been happening for a long time, like a couple years ago it started. I had mentioned it before during a different ticket/customer service call years ago, but it never really became a ticket in itself, instead the other issue at the time got resolved, one issue per ticket I was told…
(partly why I stopped even asking for help and even played for a long time… frustration)
Anyway… has anyone else ever seen this happen to their account characters too?

Not a bug. When playing MP, your account name is listed rather than the character name. Character name only shows up when solo.

It’s not a bug, but I often wondered why it should be like this. Anyone know the reason?
It shows other player’s BattleTag names so that you know what to call them, even if they change characters. If it only showed their character name, it might be different everytime they changed characters, and you would have to memorize all the names of your friends’ heroes to be able to know who you are playing with.
In MP, it is more consistent to show all players by their BattleTag, instead of having your name be the only one with a character name. That way you are seeing what the other players are seeing as well.

well… then something is still wrong, because when I play my other characters players and I see the actual character name I named them. When I play her, we don’t.
I understand when you view someones profile it shows the account name at the top and the character name on inspect shows up too. That’s not what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about actual play of character. The name under the Portrait, It doesn’t make sense that the other ones name shows up on the portrait in game just fine, just not hers.
I see the character names, in game, of everyone I play with too, not just an account name on the portrait. Only a couple peoples characters shows up in game under account name only. Privacy setting or something. But having just a particular character of mine show up wrong, and all the rest I have show up correctly on their portrait? No. Somethings bugged there… especially when it’s not happening to the rest of my toons. Only that one. So far.
I am sure some screenshots of this in-game would be very helpful for them to identify why this is happening.
