A question about rebirth

Hello!
I have a question about rebirthing a character, people said that if i rebirth my character at a new season-start, the character will go back to level one and my paragon levels turns into xp that goes to my other seasonal characters.
No issues there, BUT… Season 18 was my first season so if i rebirth my character for this new season… what will then happend with the paragon levels? Cause i have no other characters that can take in the paragon-xp, thanks

The paragon XP will stay in non-season, even if you have only one character and rebirth it to the next season.

but if i rebirth the only character i have, i wont see the paragon levels anymore lol

Correct. Season start, even with rebirth, means you start over completely on gear, gold, materials, and paragon.

Yes i literally wrote exactly that i my post, but i was wondering what was will happend to my paragon levels, people say the paragon levels turns into xp to my non-seasonal characters, but i dont have any non-seasonal character what will even happend when i rebirth the only character i own

The paragon points, gold, materials, etc all stay with the non-seasonal account. Any non seasonal char you create will have access to the non seasonal paragon points. They don’t vanish.

EDIT - just remember to use a non seasonal char to clean out your mail before the 30 days expires. Do that and put it in your non season stash if you wish to keep it. It will stay there even if you have no non season chars.

The paragon XP is bound to game mode, not individual characters. Paragon XP in non-season will stay permanently in non-season, even if there are no characters left in non-season after rebirth.

Oh ok so the game basically knows that i played last season on a non-seasonal character even tho i dont have any non-seasonal characters?
So next season i can just rebirth my character and play as normal to save playtime and achivements and then make another character, retrieve the items to stash and delete my non-seasonal character and the items will somehow magically stay in that non-seasonal chest for future seasons even tho i dont even own a non-seasonal character?

Rebirth means you start at level 1. You have no gold, paragon, achievements, materials, or items. That is the whole point of a season start.

Yes, you can create a non seasonal char, clean out the mail, put it in the non season stash, then delete the non season char. The non season stash will remain. Anything on that non season CHAR will be deleted. Gold, paragon, and materials are account mode bound so remain.

Rebirth a hero does the followings:

  • All gears on the hero and followers will be sent to other non-seasonal hero by in-game mail. If you don’t have another hero to claim the items from the mail within 30 days, the mail will be deleted. “30 days” is counting from the date of rebirth, not season-end.
  • The campaign progress on this hero will be deleted. The adventure mode will be locked if you don’t have other hero that had completed campaign.
  • Start from zero (same as creating a new character)

You have 10+ (depends on which edition) character slots. Unless you run out of slots, you can just create a new seasonal hero. Rebirth is no advantage; still start from zero.

Your character from last Season is now a Non Season character.
If you only have one, there is no need to Rebirth. Just create a new one for the new Season.
Many of us have all character slots filled, so Rebirth becomes necessary.

Ok thanks i understand it all!
I will rebirth tho cause the benefit with that is that u keep the playtime on the same character and i kinda like that to have some connection to my lovely character since i really love the class i play as well i dont really see the point of making more characters, other than just retrieving the non-seasonal items to the chest

If you rebirth your only Hero, make sure to move all gear to stash first. Otherwise you will have to make another Non Season hero to claim the mail.

Unless you play seasons, in which case adventure mode is unlocked.

should i make a new hero now then maybe and just keep that for all future non-seasonal, and never remove it, and that can always be my “non-seasonal character”
or do i need to make a new non seasonal character every season?

Cuz i can have my main character that i keep rebirth every season and one character that holds everything from all the non-seasonal

Your choice. Just bear in mind what Maskraider said. If you ever want to play Adventure mode in Non Season, you must have at least one hero there that completed the Campaign.

Aight, but i can just take my non seasonal character tho and just run the campaign now before the season start, since i always will keep that character and my main character will always be rebirthed every season

I don’t. Campaign chapter completion unlocks adventure, whether you delete the toon or not.

But it kinds looks nice to have one character that i keep rebirthing and play every season and one character that is only for non-seasonal use
