Trapped will Slow enemies, so as long as they’re within range, you’ll activate Fjord. If played with MOTE, Slam can’t be played at range. You have to right up in someone’s face. Of course, if you’re going to drop any pretense of dealing damage with EQ, you might as well go full Pro-Slam and really capitalize on that Slam damage.

Tried this out and it went very good (on par with my currently IK HotA) until I realized EQ damage looks buffed by Fjord…

When they fix it I guess it will be a non competitive build, since the EQ damage still relevant in killing trash
