If you were a bit more careful reader, you’d have noticed, that the quote applies to “Paragon 1.0”, a system that has been superseded by “Paragon 2.0”, which is currently in use. And this is the quote you would be interested in:
Players now earn one Paragon point each time they level up after reaching max level. These points can then be spent to boost up various stats in four different categories: Core Stats, Offensive, Defensive, and Utility.
So, this season (29), the paragons are not limited per se, but the limit is put on the Paragon points you can assign.
Not sure what clarification is allegedly needed. Even the official S29 blog shows an example picture of the paragon distribution of a P850 character. Actual levels are uncapped, only 800 points can be distributed.
You can allocate 800 paragon points to get power.
XP earned past that is not lost, therefore the paragon level keeps increasing and will rollover as usual after the season ends.
However past 800 there are no more points to allocate and you do not increase in power anymore.
There are NO inherent status increases from paragon alone, only the points you assign in the tabs
To direct you to the OP: “If this is the case what exactly is the point of the 800 cap?”. Since you seem to be having a difficult time understanding, this line right here from the original post clearly indicates I am aware of the 800 cap.
So this here seems to be yet another example of where you are not understanding what is being discussed or written. Asking if it has been tested by someone AFTER being being released is to confirm what the actual facts are. Also just to be CLEAR for you, the question is NOT about paragon points passed 800 it is if there was any base stats separate from the paragon points. In addition, my response to his comment is yet another point you didn’t understand and that was that he stated it was common knowledge that it HAD been tested since release which it was clearly not “COMMON KNOWLEDGE”. FYI, common knowledge means that practically everyone knows about it.
Never once did I state that I had no clue there was a cap, in fact as shown to you again in this very post because you are yet again not UNDERSTANDING the words being written(or just running your mouth after you pull a quick excerpt without thoroughly reading the actual post) that your are clearly wrong as the proof is there for you to READ.
It wasn’t insulting, it was stating pure and simple facts.
First, to make 10000 posts on this forum you CLEARLY have no life: fact. Second, if you have made 10000 posts on the D3 forums and judging by what he posted here(another useless comment) that he obtained said number of posts by posting useless replies or threads for the most part, fact. Lastly, his comment was useless and false and also a really poor attempt to sound cool and dismissive which he failed miserably at because his post was wrong in the first place. If the truth hurts that much for you to think this as a huge insult without actually looking at the facts first then we have reached yet another level of over sensitivity.
I assume its to not hurt your paragon balance at the end of the season. When a season ends, your paragon points get calculated into your non season characters.
Since one still gains xp that will transfer to non-season, that is why paragon goes past 800. It is a paragon point allocation cap and not a paragon cap per se.
