the Hurricane rune. Wouldn’t that be nice and say… USEFUL? PLEASE get rid of the Dust Devils. They do nothing for the build, especially since its a Rend build now.
They pull mobs you do not want, especially when doing bounties.
Barbarian: Oh, I am done with my bounty, I think I shall port to the next one.
Unseen mob from beyond the screen: LOOK… a barbarian is trying to port somewhere, attack it!!! Get him. LOOK he doesn’t have Homing Pads either.
Barbarian: Really? Seriously? I guess I shall just have to one shot this mob, and the next one, and the next one, and oh wait he comes another one. Sigh, I guess I should have cubed my Homing Pads. But I really don’t want to. I like my Mantle of Channeling way too much.
Plus if you think about it, there are only 2 runes that a player would choose anyway. Hurricane would work great with Wind Shear and Blood Funnel. Heck, you already changed the set a bit anyway. Why not this? Or even better, replace it with a Movement Speed boost. 15% would be nice.

Unfortunately, Hurricane pulls enemies, and pulls are a form of hard CC. The more CC we apply, the harder it is to use Rage Flip. In addition, Hurricane does nothing to RGs, Juggernauts, and certain “heavy” elites. I realize that Hurricane is super useful in farming T16 Neph Rifts and Bounties, but it would not be good for pushing GRs.
What’s more, Dust Devils do apply Rend in density, and that helps our damage output. True, the Dust Devils themselves may not be the powerhouses they used to be, but they still help.
If the rune had be changed, Bloodfunnel is the obvious choice as it provides some of the best healing in the game. This would be a net positive since it would allow those who use the IB weapon set to trade Swords to Ploughs for Into the Fray and squeeze more DPS out of the build.

Yeah I know that both the hurricane rune and the dust devils pull mobs. The nados of course travel really far, while the hurricane is medium range and usually 1 at a time every few seconds. But that only works if there are mobs near by. Where as the nados span just from spinning.
I agree blood funnel would be the best choice to replace the dust devil runes, but there are still people that use that rune over wind shear because they use the BK weapons.
I guess if there are a ton of mobs surrounding you, they could help a little. But I would think that is about as helpful as the WW itself.
dust devil causes lag and for that alone it should be removed

As much as I hate the lag from dust devils removing them would be a big nerf. We would need some buffs in another place to make up for this. Putting bloodfunnel on the 6p would be nice though…
