>4,000 respondent D2R reddit 25 question results are out

Well if D2R gets botted the same as d2 is now, then they made the same mistake twice. History repeats itself. And they missed out on one the greatest opportunities they had going for them

It’s not that they’re making the same mistake.

Do you think Blizzard doesn’t spend millions of dollars every year paying people to try to solve the bot issues in their games? They do. But guess what? It’s an arms race.

And because D2 is a game with RMT incentives, and allows people to play in solo games and farm items they can then sell for real money, bot makers put a lot of time and effort into keeping their bot software up to date.

The only way to fix the bot issue in D2 is to remove the ability for bots to impact the economy. And you can’t do that unless you implement things like personal loot and trade restrictions, if not remove trading outright.

So, is it still worth it to remove bots?

Trade-Regulations are not removing Bots. (SEE IN D3 and there are more stuff as only Bots)

Bots can be removed by Manually Monitoring and other stuffs but it costs more money will be more work because the employees needs to work more efficient to detect the vulnerabilities and fix them.

Many Codes-segments are listed in their Security and their outdated Warden.

There is one question missing:

„Are you checking yes for every question?“

Even though, this shows, that there are a lot of people, who want changes, I see a huge bunch of people being against all of that. So I think, this survey supports the #nochanges for release and maybe some changes in future ladders.

Owning a title of a game you cannot bot in makes the company a huge compepititor in the world of the gaming industry

LOL no. It just makes them a bigger target for people to prove them wrong.

And they will always, always be proven wrong.

Epic Games, one of if not the most lucrative and rich company that produces games, still can’t eradicate cheaters from its titles. You think Blizzard can do it for a small game like D2R, if Fortnite can’t do it?

Please.

I will politely request that you shut up with this rhetoric, as it is hypocritical.

I know exactly how you would be sounding if the tables were reversed and the majority did end up being the ones who were “Against” change; You’d start flexing about it and start shouting “Look, a majority doesn’t want this, ergo it should never be implemented!”

Only because the majority of players are “Actually some changes wouldn’t be so bad”, you are now sitting here going “Now wait a minute guys, don’t disregard the portion of players who do want this, there’s still a good amount of them.”

I’ve seen it on other game forums, so I know exactly how your kind operate.

Would you be saying the same thing if it happened to be that the “No changes” crowd were a larger number than the people who were for tweaks?
Something tells me you wouldn’t.

This is exactly why I compare this to the 2020 elections LMAO. It’s the same denial and rhetoric being spouted by the losing party. The same insults and lashing out now that we know how people really feel and wanted things to be.

Is there a reason you’re bringing in politics in to the mix?

Regardless of what I think of the inconsistencies with the results, it’s really out of left field.

Because it’s the same kind of hilarity and it’s really funny to me.

You sound like another forum that I frequented with people who’d start foaming if anyone suggested changes to the game that would convenience a set of players, even if they were willing to negotiate for a “Lesser experience”.

It also has an atmosphere of indigestion.

I would be able to get at least 20 more people I know and friends to play this game with me for hours a week. If they knew it wasnt run by bots.
Which could easily turn into hundreds and thousands of more players if so.

Sadly that won’t change what you’re asking and the impossibility of making it happen.

D2R is a low-budget remaster of an ancient game running on ancient code.

Fortnite is a billion-dollar industry running on the best code and staff that Epic’s dirty money can buy.

Fortnite still has cheaters and bots.

There is no way D2R can solve the problem. It’s just not possible.

If it were, Blizzard would have applied the fix to WoW and D3 already.

Glad to see most of the people surveyed are open to changes that will improve the game.

What are you referring to?

Actually it’s not. The survey was conducted on the Diablo Reddit, which is CRAWLING with all of D2’s ancient supporters who hate change.

And yet… here we are. The survey happened in the most likely place to yield results favorable to the no-change radicals… and it came out blue instead.

LOL.
