Every time I try to start the game I get this error.
I’ve been getting this too. I click “OK” and the game loads anyway. Is that not happening for you?

D3D errors are typically easy to fix up. First thing you want to do is make sure your graphics card and your OS are fully updated. If they are and the error continues there are two other things you can do.
Go to Documents folder
Diablo 3 folder
​In the D3Prefs.txt file you will want to adjust :
- > Changed the line : DisplayModeWindowMode "0" to DisplayModeWindowMode "1"
If you are running Razer software, try disabling the Chroma piece. Run Razer Synapse 3. Go to the Modules tab, make sure that the chrome connect module has been installed (may need the app to restart). Navigate to the connect tab and toggle off “enable this app” on the right. If Synapse 3 isn’t installed you can install it and do this step as well.
