I see we get a +200 damage as an option on the tree. Is that base weapons damage (that gets multiplied by like a billion from most sets?), or where exactly does it fit in with the calculations?
It adds to the weapon damage, like it would from a ring or weapon, so it increases your maximum, unadjusted, or base, damage before additives and multiplicities.
That’s huge then! At least for one-handers!
It is decent for lower difficulties but once enemies get .17^Xth more life, it dwindles pretty quickly.
Best I ever completed was GR128, and that was only a couple of times. So for those of us hoping to just get close to that level again without quite as much strain, this is a good thing. Once you get up into the 130s+, then yea, might as well skip it!
Not true. Assuming 3k flat weapon damage, 200 damage is around 7% power more no matter if you’re playing GR50 or 150
Yes true, because that mediocre damage output is meaningless against something with 1000000000% more health. It only really makes a difference when it keeps increasing, like with Stricken.
Flat damage is nowhere near as good as incremental.
Tell me you don’t understand game mechanics without telling me you don’t understand game mechanics
200 flat damage is before any % damage multiplier from skills, stats and gears, not after. Unless you’re telling me there’s not much difference between a level 1 and level 70 weapon. Right? Coz flat damage doesn’t matter, as you like to claim.
While playing on PTR I saw a very minor sheet DPS with GoD6 and ancient Yang’s.
It was looking like 1.045m became 1.048m (!) dps.
I was disappointed to say the least.
It is upgrade #25 on my list now.
This note is less than half a GR level. Not as powerful as other nodes. The higher your base weapon damage the less of a power increase it is. And ofc it has deminishing returns if you have weapon damage roles on your rings.
