USA 2020. Hillary Clinton wins re-election and implements a new time measurement system for the world known as the ADBFY, where units of time in academia, government, and private industry must now be measured as Are Diablo Barbs Fixed Yet?. Worldwide protests erupt, the economy crumbles. People can’t even schedule their own lives due to systemic errors with Pre or Post-Are Diablo Barbs Fixed Yet measurements. Bobby Kotick is sued by Brexit for tax evasion for 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Euros. The planet explodes.
Joking aside, if–or maybe, when–Barbs get buffs, it will be interesting to see what that looks like considering the scope and scale of the most recent two patches. I certainly don’t expect every item or request to be granted, but I don’t think it will be Mortick’s caliber disappointment.
And let’s not forget that Monks need buffs almost as badly.
From patch 2.6.1a being released on 5/29/2018, they have only updated 10 class specific support items for all classes combined, including changes in patch 2.6.6. The “small” list 1 proposal includes buffs to 10 legendary support items. List 2 includes more items and even new affixes on many items. It is highly unlikely in my mind that the classic games team will do this. There is compelling data that shows that barbs on in a bad spot now; however, their historical underachievement in terms of ability to clear solo greater rifts seems inconsistent with what is presented in OP.
At first I wanted to read the blog very much. But we’re less than 3 months from BlizzCon, so we won’t get any juicy news or updates. So what is supposed to be announced in the blog post? The “plans” for Diablo III? What plans could they announce that we don’t already expect? Honest question.
I have a feeling that may be wrong that in the blog, they will lay the groundwork for an announced and official transition to maintenance mode. They certainly wont announce it that way but I suspect that they will indicate less frequent changes. They could announce a "final* balancing effort that when implemented doesnt go far enough.
The Blog post we’re waiting on is something we actually know it’s going to be…
We’re listening and we hear you. There are some classes that have different play styles that may or may not suit what everyone expects from that class but that’s okay. Sanctuary is filled with different heroes for you to enjoy and we need you to hear that. Do you hear that? Are you listening?
We appreciate the passion of the community and the time they invested into constructive feedback on Barbarians. We liked it a lot and we’re listening and we hear you.
With BlizzCon around the corner and with all this listening and hearing we couldn’t get all of the proposal into this patch. For now, enjoy the latest patch with the new items.
Without any support legendaries whatsoever, could you rank the barb class sets and LON sets from best to worst and a relative grifter rift estimate of their differential power?
Let’s just plant and water the grass on the grave.
This has been dug up and reburied so many times the shovel has worn out for most of us. Thanks for the Memories guys it was a great ride…
Well every HOTA build is dead without Gavel of the First Men combo. Wastes with no Zodiac, BK Swords, or Skull Grasp? Uhh… salvage. IK straight up with no specific items is a dud since it’s bonus is global and thus low.
The only real build that can be played with limited item support is probably R6/IK4. Maybe LeapQuake too since it’s so tanky. R6 by itself might be 3rd.
I honestly don’t even think the other builds would even rank in 2.6.5+. But maybe I’m too cynical.
