You ask for doubled legendary powers buffs, that can be another approach but I fail to see a difference between that and asking Set multipliers. That would make the gameplay of traditional class Set and LoN, rather similar.
LoN goes with damage procs, if you load all the power on legendary items you’d only make procs an unnecessary detail just like traditional Set builds.
They don’t want to ruin their precious 2 zdps with 2 dps/burst meta on 4-man runs. And burst damage always appreciated above DoT which causes messy disoriented tickrates for server to handle. They created those problems, not me; now they have to solve it.

And please stop calling WW a damn DOT skill. WW deals its damage in small chunks, but it’s not a DOT skill. Pain Enchancer is a DOT. WW is just a channeling skill. The lag is due to other factors such as AD calculations plus Dust Devils together with PE refresh, not really anything having to do with a DOT from WW.
The server performance issue is a bad argument. It just places the onus on devs and not the playerbase. Players should not be forced out of their preferred playstyles due to devs that can’t seem to fix WW and Dust Devils.
When you argue that buffing WW is a bad idea because it might hurt the servers, you’re not saying anything about Free’s proposal, you’re just calling Blizzard incompetent.
That’s why they need “time”, perhaps? Look at the timing, you guys made a huge proposal and they managed to toss Mortick’s hoping that you’d get a message. Appears you don’t. When they happen to try and fix lag issues, they may have to change WW’s DD and they’ll be greeted with a streak of more angry threads. That’s just great. That sure would motivate me if I was one of the developers.
If not, let me tell you. Former d3 dev John Yang, check this forum frequently. He saw someone have a great idea on HotA lengendary. Then him add this lengendary power, if I remember correct, in a week.
Don’t try to find excuses for the current devs. Compare to former dev team, they are definitely reluctant, and lose their passion.
Whirlwind is a melee attack… DoT stands for Damage over Time. Rend is an example of a DoT attack. DoT attacks are when you attack and then switch up what you’re doing while the previous DoT attack does its damage over time. Since Whirlwind must be constantly applied and constantly in melee range, it is not a DoT skill
John Yang was the only one that actually “stayed awhile and listened”. Ever since he was moved to WoW, barbs are doomed. Back than, our feedback was actually taken into consideration. After he was transferred, we provided hundreds- if not thousands - of pages of feedback that was for the most part ignored, and we getting stuff like Saffron Wrap with a comment “oh, we want to see what players can do with it”. Nobody asked for stuff like that, there is nothing to be “done” with it, skill itself is laughable.
It is too hard to understand that we know what we want, we know what skills need work, we know what type of items we need, we know exactly what needs to be done in order to make barb better overall. But, I am guessing here, this is all too insulting to current dev team. They simply cannot do what is needed, due to be it company policy or simple “if we do it for barbs, other classes will use it as an argument to do it for them too”. Thing is that back in a Yang days listening to suggestions was what made us feel part of the game.
buff up LON thorns frenzy so that it can take role of single target dps in GROUP for start. hack applyes 1000% of thorns to dmg, tough as neils 2000% thorns increase
dont have to touch sets. do fast solution for barbs to buy more time untill next PTR.
It’s just flat out sad and disappointing. The devs straight up said in 2.6.5 that “they just didn’t have enough time to get to barbs and that changes were coming”. They’ve had an entire season to at the very minimum tweak existing numbers. Something that could have very easily been done. Would it have solved the problem? Eh, yes and no, but it’s much better than 2 literally useless items.
But lets be honest. Lets bring the truth to light. Whirlwind and WoTW will never be adjusted or tuned to be relevant in comparison to other classes because their “optimized” servers simply can’t handle it. So the best way to deal with it, is just not buff it. Rather than work around it.
i was always been asking for one miserable build that we could use in group to DPS. i didnot even care which build or set it will be.thought most easy solution for them will be to drastically buff up thorns frenzy for elite killer build. never gotten a s.

I would like to see one Frenzy viable build too. Whatever thorn or not, there is all the primary stuff already implemented in the game, they just have to tweak Numbers. Seems not that difficult to do !
Blizzard could easily buff Frenzy and make it a poor man’s RGK… it can be slower than DH or Command Skeleton even, and it would still be fine and no one would complain. This would also make it a cool solo build for the 120-124 range.
Literally no Barb ever asked to be on top on anything DPS wise, they just want options.
By the way for people complaining about the meta and other classes, Crusader and DH can both RGK all the way up to 150 so don’t come here with that rhetoric when they’re not used just because most people blindly copy meta builds. Atleast they have the option to DPS even if it’s not optimal.
