1st Impressions PTR

I enjoyed the new content, and I am glad that attention is still being give to a 10yo game. There were some awesome quality of life changes in the last season and I am hoping some of these changes make into the next season and beyond, and some into the non-season gameplay: primarily pets picking up and converting items should definitely be a part of the game going forward, it cut down on laborious and distracting busy work. This feature should automatically kick in after level 70 is reached, because, you know, who needs w/b/y items except for crating. Also, the Alter Buffs made gameplay especially fun, more so, the PASSTHROUGH buff. Removing these buffs entirely will take a bit of getting used to, so I am hoping there is a continuation of the Alter in some form or another going forward.

I am not too happy about a paragon cap, sure it will cut down on creeps farming and paragon bragging, but it also alienates decent players who only play to achieve more paragon levels, it’s really all that’s left, especially since the last season is neigh, or will uncapped paragon still continue in non-seasonal play?

Lastly, character build bullying is a problem. I have a Marauder build built to my own specifications because, I like playing how I want, and not dictated by cookie cutter builds that EVERYONE emulates.

I like individuality and choosing to play how I like, yet because of this I cannot count how many times I, and others, have been ridiculed, yelled at or kicked because my or their build was different.

Horrible.

While most the the D3 community is wonderful, so many are toxic and ruin the experience. I like the proposed SOLO mode, but I also think one should be able to switch that character back and forth, maybe or have the opportunity to do so once in either direction… but I can also see the problems of players whom merely want to get over, feeling superior with a high paragon, on a build that 100,000 other players have too.

It’s silly.

That’s it for now.

Thank you!

This beats the purpose of having a SSF mode at all. It would be like converting a character from Hardcore to Softcore at will.

That would defeat the entire point of a SSF mode.

Currently, the solo leaderboards are contaminated by players engaging in non-solo activities. Being able to group for XP farming and gem leveling is vastly more efficient than doing it solo, yet those players are able to utilize those gains and still register on the solo leaderboard.

As a response, a group of players have tried to establish an unofficial SSF leaderboard based on a set of house rules. This is still largely honor based and an official mode is a very welcome addition for these players wanting a true solo leaderboard experience.
