Hey, i am interested to hear what will everyone play as hardcore is little bit different than softcore and more people is running different characters than just blizz sorc.
I will start:
I will start with ladder group Frozen orb energy shield and after that i am making zerk/doubleswing hybrid barbarian.
I also plan to make druid summoner and foh paladin, eventualy maybe hammerdin and javazon also.
Very likely I will do a FO/EShield sorc aswell and a Frenzy Barb or Fury Druid second (Sadly these need good weapons). Maybe a Spearzon aswell.
I played D2 for the first time in mid-2005 and I ALWAYS played with a trapsin. In d2r i decided to play with a hardcore martial arts assassin even though it wasnāt very āfeasibleā (this was before patch 2.4) and I intend to keep that for the ladder. Yes a melee assassin is a bit unusual, but honestly I donāt care 
And did you try her after 2.4? She is like only build i have no info what so ever from 2.4.

Well players will love you for summons tanking and for life from oak.
Like Wolv spirit is good but at HC i think OAK is the way even thou kill speed would be abysmally in self-found games that way.
Yes. I keep playing with her. This is in single player. I can assure you that itās much more playable than it was before patch 2.4.
Before the patch, I just couldnāt finish Act 2 Hell with her. After the patch, Iām already on the hellforge mission in Act 4, remembering that I only play 1 to 3 hours a day
Itās more of a āhobbyā while the ladder is not released, but now I intend to close the entire scope of the game with it, that is, kill baal on hell difficulty, kill clone diablo and do the pandemonium event. Yes it wonāt be easy but one day Iāll get there.
How do you play her? Kicks or those 3 elemental attacks?
I use dual-claws. There is no specific reason. Itās simply because I was very sick of playing trapsin and had never played dual-claws in my life. Kicksin was already a very played build. I just wanted to innovate lol

D key: Phoenix Strike
X key: Any other charged-up skill depending on monster immunities (FF, CT or BI)
F1 use Dragon Claw. F2 is Cloak of Shadows. F3 Burst of Speed. F4 Venom. F5 Shadow Master

All prerequisite talents with static of course
All extra talents past level 85 into fire/cold mastery as needed

She clears all content solo so I donāt need to rely on people being online
Between orbs with the proper FCR you can cast 2 hydras without interruption of your FO casting
She also excels at clearing areas that people donāt want to, specifically nihalthak
Probably make a throw barb after
Iām still deciding, Iām planning on going with only 2 chars per season as the seasons are expected to be 4 months.
The one Iām sure if is a Blade Fury Sin.
My signature is a Summoner, shouldnāt I do a summoner for the first āladderā.

There is a legitimate way to be able to open multiple instances of D2R on the same computer. Iād be happy to share how to do so if youād like (as well as anyone else, for that matter)! Just whisper my tag @ Ben#1837, just to make it easier to chat back and forth without spamming this thread. 
thinking of a Bo Barb/ throw barb hybrid.
Whenever I played HC, it was predicated on what my group wanted/needed. If I was free to pick a class/build, it would probably be Concentrate Barb(with 1 point Zerk for PI) due to the tank-like feature of the skill and the Barbarian overall. Thatās not to say Barbs are indestructible but they move pretty well and have one of the better class sets. Other builds being FoHdins(which are now viable in 2.4) for its Conviction(Iād add Resist Auras into my build for key areas), Javazon(Cows go Mooooo) or Trapsin(one of the best classes to go with. Class set isnāt bad either).
Concentrate Barb was my first diablo character. Had a Grandfather and was amaaaaaazinggggggggggggggg.
In our group Iām starting necro. Then one friend is paladin and the other is assassin. What the final two friends will start as is tbd
FOH/Smiter hybrid, BO barb, Necro.
