No one is sleeping on a1 mercs, just very few builds to me are justifiably more beneficial than a2 merc with holy freeze/might/prayer along with reapers/insight + treachery, with fade and decrep procd, they are untouchable. But either way, pretty good run. If you’re avoiding shadow master from casting mind blast, you can still use shadow warrior. Might help tank some of the initial hits your merc takes every time you tele.
Yup true. However act 2 merc needs pretty good gear to survive cows while act 1 merc actively mooves away from mobs and can survive with pretty crappy gear especially if you put a few points in shadow warrior.
I myself use act 1 freeze merc when playing trap assassin on a budget combined with about 10 hard points in shadow warrior + whatever + to skills he get from gear and an insight bow (hate spamming blue pots :D) this allows me to do cows pretty ez on low budget and if u make ur act 1 merc a hustle armour she will have no issues outrunning/evading the cows and she gets a nice boost to her attack speed so she can spam more freeze arrows which is really helpful in cow lvl
