Why blizzard why can’t you get a single game launch right ?
People say I should have known but I blindly went and bought it anyway only
To be proven again you can’t be trusted at all with game launches.
Seriously no matter how you look at it you sold every a broken product .
Great job

Most online launches have bugs to work out in the following days. This one is no different than the rest. Why not just wait a week if you don’t want to encounter any difficulties?
They’re 2 busy dealing with lawsuits that’s why.

bro shut up - we know you work there
This thread is Sunday Absurd. There’s no informative content from the OP (he acknowledges he should have waited before buying - after which you stated the lawsuit would have impacted the development cycle of this game) and you state that I work at Blizzard w/o evidence.
I hope you have a good day
by “dealing with lawsuits” you mean operating paper shredders 24/7
Isn’t that the way most suits deal with lawsuits? Duh!
This is an understatement.
While it’s true that most releases have bugs and stability issues (and hardware launches like PS4/PS5 etc have hardware issues as well on launch), normally nothing this bad.
The current character lockout bugs were apparently discovered during the beta weekend. And if you’re anticipating such issues, you should have more staff available working for the week, you should also release on a sun night/monday instead of waiting for thursday since you obv have an influx of pple playing on the weekend…
Management 101 if you ask me, and this is not a small indie company to have us deal with these kinds of issues – they also had an idea of how many pple would be online playing since they had a lot of pre purchases.
It all boils down to this: we all expect bugs at launch. But, we also expect to at least be able to play.
To me, this puts D2R’s launch in a negative light. Worst ever? Depends on when they actually fix the unplayable problem!

This isn’t even in the top 20 worst launches ever. I’ve had launches brick a console, getting like 70% uptime during a launch weekend is probably a historical top 10 best game launch.
Because this is why you have game testing and countless open and closed betas. No excuses. NONE
Not even close. You should have been around for the original Diablo II launch. This one has been much, much better. It’s still annoying getting disconnected, dying and loosing your progress but the real crime is that game browser.
Well money for one. World first for another. False requirements for another! Fan boy tittle sucker over here yeesh.
They really did mess this one up bad. This is why we should have had multiple stress tests. Then somehow they introduced the map overlay bug the other day. Sigh.
