Has there been one worse?
Not even counting this server ‘downtime’ where they are trying to balance out banning botters with profitting off them and banning RM traders for more profits.
This game crashes more than Stevie Wonder driving on moonshine. Most crashes I have ever had in my life, all in a 2 day period.
AFAIK Warcraft Reforged was a giant scam (they only altered 2-3 missions in the game, advertised it as a full rework), but the servers worked.
I think Anarchy Online still holds the record for worst launch
Diablo 3 was worse if i remember correct 
Personally, I think the launch and subsequent online experience of Ultima Online was the worst but then again online games were non existent so they could be forgiven. But there is absolutely no excuse for the pitiful showing of this considering the enormous online experience and the huge advances in Server quality. Just no excuse for the sloppiness.
I played D3 at launch and it wasn’t nearly this bad. I never crashed to desktop even once. My character was never rolled back.
D3 Launch was a different type of bad. They released the game in a pretty much unbeatable state (a basic mob on inferno would kill you in 1 hit even as tank), which was a scam designed to get players to use the auction house to find gear. Which of course worked.
I’ve played a lot of games. This is the worst launch ever for me.
I played on launch and servers were down for hours, no roleback indd but couldnt play for hours, like hours!
everquest 2 was pretty bad.
cyberpunk2077 on ps4 is still worse than this, at least i can play this sometimes. and the game has all the features they advertised.
Cyberpunk is still missing big features they advertised and after 300gb worth of patches still crashes on ps4 which they advertised that it WOULD work on that system. (it should of never been released on last gen consoles).
But yeah D2R still pretty unoptimized, the server crashes im pretty sure are outside sources but the game itself when it does run does crash a lot.
Worst of all time? nah. Worse Blizzard launch? Maybe. Stability is really, really bad, but I’d still rate WC3:R as worse than this.
I’ll second Anarchy Online. Their payment system couldn’t link with your account at launch so after, I believe, 2 hours you couldn’t even play.
In addition the game was just a bug ridden mess and had about 10,000 other issues that everyone experienced.
Outside of the server issues, which are becoming a major issue, the core game is playable for most it appears. I do feel for everyone who is having crash issues though. It’d be nice if they could figure out what software/hardware is causing the conflict to crash the system l.
I’m pretty sure Daikatana is ranked up there with AO and Cyberpunked 2077
FFXIV 1.0 launch was pretty terrible.
