Windowed Borderless mode

Am I the only one who would like to see this implemented?

+1.

I prefer windowed mode because there’s no mouse cursor lock between apps, so I can multitask without ALT + TAB.

An auto-hide function for the title bar would probably do it.

I am using an ultrawide monitor and when the mouse leaves the window, it’s rather frustrating…

The current mode is Borderless Windowed mode. There is no exclusive fullscreen in DX12. You can tell it’s not EFS simply by how fast tabbing in and out is and the fact there is no “screen flash” associated with that action.

If you’re looking to keep the cursor in the game window in a multimonitor setup, then what you seek is, ironically, a lock cursor to window option. D2R just happens to be a little whacky with its fullscreen mode and doesn’t stick to conventional norms with regard to how it is used.

Also, Alt+Enter toggles between window and full screen. I have dual 32" at 2560x1440 and use this often if i want to access a browser tab i have open on my other screen. When I’m done, I’ll alt+enter to fullscreen the game on my other monitor so the mouse stays locked.

i do alt enter for now but it would be infinitely better to have the good windowed fullscreen like most games have. its 2021 everyone has multiple monitors and need quick access to them

I see you are saying “Fullscreen” is our “bordered windowless” mode now, But the problem is the mouse curser is stuck to that window, I want to be able to play in a true “borderless Windowed” mode, like i do for every single other game, without the windows task bar on the bottom of the screen, and be able to quickly mouse over to my internet browser on my second monitor, without having to alt+tab.

You know, the way its worked forever. The current two options are assbackwards.

No, the borderless window mode is working the same as in any other game. It’s the separate lock cursor to screen function that’s been activated. It’s almost always a built in feature on games like this where you click the screen in combat. What you’re looking for is for it to be an option, which is a fair request.

Why is everybody just ignoring, what this thread is about and explaining technical details I stead of discussing the topic itself?

OP wants a Fullscreen mode without “lock mouse to window” and I totally agree with that.
Most games support this and it’s a fine feature for multi monitor setups.
Alt+Tab or Alt+Enter is just an annoyance.

I am fine with alt tabbing out of the borderless window or not.
The main thing I want is a Borderless window at “X” resolution.
In this situation i’m using an Ultra Wide monitor - 5120x1440

I had the same issue until I discovered “Borderless Gaming” on Steam. I am using it on Windows 11 Pro with D2R and now have full-screen borderless gaming while maintaining seamless access to my other monitors. I hope this helps…

This is a great option. Thank you, it 100% works like a charm.
