I would suggest getting with support and asking someone with real answers
The real solution to that though is to make it available to everyone as an official option in the game.
Having said that, with the introduction of controller play weâve already opened the Pandoraâs Box of some players having advantages that others donât just due to the setup theyâre using to run the game.
Ordinarily, no, you wouldnât need it in most circumstances. But there are cases where the gameâs current state genuinely is untenable regardless of how good your eyesight is - classic example is opening the super chests in Arcane Sanctuary in a P7/P8 game. The auto gold pickup helps a little (because you can eliminate some of the clutter just by running around), but itâs not enough.
Beyond that, for me itâs less an issue of need, or even of convenience, and more just of the clutter ruining the ambience of the game. I mean, Iâm on my way to kill Baal, the very final boss of the game. The fact that the game can drop stamina potions (and other items that would never get picked up, except by accident) is frankly just insulting.
you really are bad at the gameâŠ
Sure I agree, game should have that ages ago already.
Could you elaborate? What systems give an advantage and how?
I haven wanting to switch over to or at least add a DS for when my jobs takes me on the road. I can imagine sorting through loot on handheld being a nightmare.

Blizzard (CS/TS) will not give approvals for third party software or mods. They donât make those products and have no control over them so wonât say yes or no. They will point to the EULA and that is it. The Hacks team is the one who does the investigations and bans - and you canât reach them.
It is always a risk if you break the EULA with regards to online gameplay for Blizzard games.
Factor in that âLoot filterâ is a blanket term for a variety of mods that work in different ways and have different features.
If it has MH or TH style features then obv its a ban.
Staff cant possibly know what LF you are inquiring about or what features it has.

Could you elaborate? What systems give an advantage and how?
Controllers for picking up loot. Theyâre bad for precision stuff like grabbing a rune in the middle of a bunch of clutter but theyâre great for quickly scooping things up if you expect a bunch of high-value items to drop in a specific spot (ie after a boss fight).
Funny story, just for fun I joined a public Baal run and played it with a controller a few weeks ago. After the fight I yoinked a unique amulet, which I can guarantee you I wouldnât have been fast enough to pick up with a mouse. What makes it funny is that, I was trying to transfer it to my cube, and the way you transfer is by holding the X button. But if you donât hold it long enough, it executes the âtapâ function on that button, which is⊠to drop the item on the ground. I think you can probably guess how this story ended.
But to bring it back to the issue of looting in general, I think thereâs a clear advantage for people who are able to switch between controller and mouse/keyboard on the fly. I think a loot filter could level the playing field a little bit.
So you cun use a controller on PC and use it as a loot vacuum?
Kind of like a legal Pickit?
Basically yeah. I know a lot of people were complaining about it earlier, and not as much now, though I think thatâs more due to the fact that enough time has passed that nobody really cares about drops anymore. Iâm sure weâll see a resurgence of people complaining about it once ladder starts.

blizz would be able to scan all your personal files in your PC and this is a big Red flag in USA
Have you actually read the EULA. You do not own any of the games files. That said you have no right to privacy with D2R. Who owns theses files Blizzard does. They can in fact scan THIER games files on your system if they want to. Easy anti cheat battle eye all do this.
The fact blizzard requires D2R authentication means its already scaning these files. Maybe not all but its scaning what it needs to. To athenticat u have a legal copy.
Legally blizzard cannot scan files that are not part of D2R. Thing is with mods like loot filter. In order for them to work the mods files need to be put into the games files. Which blizzard has every right to scan if they want too. You do not own the game.
Blizzard is now owned by Microsoft so any windows based machine is now open to full scans.

Blizzard is now owned by Microsoft so any windows based machine is now open to full scans
this is entirely false lol.
Why? They have proprietary rights to the registry and any .exe running unpacks in to the registry they already have rights to anything Blizzard on your computer.

Why?
first and foremost microsoft doesnât own blizzard but even if they did there are laws and regulations in multiple countries and states which prevent them from scanning everything on a computer.

first and foremost microsoft doesnât own blizzard
As of right now no. Around june of 2023 microsoft will own them. In case you have not heard microsoft bought activision and blizzard. In 2023 this deal will close. Which was there point.
What a long thread that should have just ended in one short reply, if that⊠since TC has never replied or taken part in the thread.
The only real winner is Spaceghost

As of right now no.
yes and possibly never will though they do hope to.

Around june of 2023 microsoft will own them.
If everything goes according to Microsoftâs plans then yes this will be true at that point.

In case you have not heard microsoft bought activision and blizzard.
no, Microsoft has announced their intention to buy activision blizzard and Activision Blizzard have agreed to the sale.

In 2023 this deal will close.
only if it passes multiple government approvals.

Which was there point.
speculation based on what might happen in a year and a half is not

now owned
Nvidia announced they were buying ARM how did that turn out?
I always love âwill i get banned forâ posts, because if you have to ask, then you probably already know the answer. Always better to be safe than sorry, unless you donât mind being sorryâŠor unless you know for sure you wonât get banned, but if you knew for sure you wouldnât get banned, you wouldnât be asking in the first place, soâŠ
