yes. Do so at your own risk.

1,C,ii = 1. bots; i.e. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that allows the automated control of a Game, or any other feature of the Platform, e.g. the automated control of a character in a Game;

A loot filter does not fall into this criteria. It does not automate anything.

You missed this one:

  1. any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that can be used in connection with the Platform and/or any component or feature thereof which changes and/or facilitates the gameplay or other functionality;

Loot filters dont do that either.

They alter the gameplay experience. So yes they do count.

It does not say alter gameplay experience.

Loot filters dont do any of that.

Interpret it however you want. I know I’m correct.

Use them at your own risk. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Were you banned or know someone who was?

No, I don’t use cheats. I play the game as it was intended to be played.

i really hope blizzard makes it so we can use our own loot filters, its a pretty basic QOL change and it makes a huge difference, especially on eye strain, i AM 20 years older than i used to be

it has no balance impact and the QOL is just off the charts
it makes the game look so much cleaner its absurd

Then you dont know.

I dont need to interpret. There is no line in there that targets loot filters. All they do is omit data that goes on my screen.

They dont control my character or give any extra info I would not have otherwise.

I would like there to be a basic loot filter, at least for potions. I do tire from having to drink my way through piles to see WHAT ELSE is there.

Do you know the definition of the word “alter”?
/ˈîltər/

verb

verb: alter; 3rd person present: alters; past tense: altered; past participle: altered; gerund or present participle: altering

  1. change or cause to change in character or composition, typically in a comparatively small but significant way.

Loot Filters change the game in the way that allows you to do something that presently isn’t possible.

You’re tip toeing around a subject you know nothing about which leads me to believe you’re guilty of something, so I suggest you retain your innocence and walk away.

Again, you have been warned. 3rd party software that interacts in any way with the game that provides any kind of advantage counts.

Any sort of 3rd party software that is found on the internet using a search engine is bound to be detected.

I know what the word alter means. Omiting data and altering data are different things.

You are not changing the data.

I dont give 2 good craps if you think im guilty or not.

But I do want loot filters.

Clearly you do not.

You’re being disingenuous by walking circles around this man, just stop. You can interpret “changing” in whatever way you like, but you’ll never be able to warp it to an understanding that allows you to have a case against Blizzard should you decide to continue or start using third party software that isn’t endorsed by Blizzard.

You’re changing your gameplay by allowing something to alter the way the game is meant to be played.

Clearly you do, otherwise we wouldn’t be here.

Anyway, felt like leaving my two cents because I greatly dislike disingenuous ignorance.

Have fun!

We tried. If he wants to use the software and risk losing access to the game, let him.

You can’t teach someone something who has already made the decision not to learn.

Don’t do it OP.

Or, at your own risk, as another said.
