Why is there no AFK timer? ~22 hours later

Legitimate question here.

I am still in the same game I was in last night, when I passed out. I didn’t intend to afk in my game, seriously. I was drinking a bit and went to hang out with the roomy. Ended up doing other life things and just going to bed. Since I run windowed fullscreen, my monitor goes black after like 15 min or so for power saver and I’m none-the-wiser, until I login today after work. Found my sorc just chillin in town after a countess run.

I’ve been afk for almost a full day. This may be why we have queue times? Just a thought. I know people can always abuse afk timers, moving the mouse, or character, etc. But I know I’m not the only one who has done this. I know some people will exploit this too, just to avoid the Q.

Needs to be fixed.

Absolutely… right after the stupid queue is gone as well as the time out in joining games quickly.

The auto one minute time out is extremely frustrating. Very hard to keep games going if you are not the creator.

However, In my experience only the longest queues are in the early AM for the NA players. 10 bucks says there are hundreds of people AFK on purpose to avoid the q later in the day. *idk

I have actually seen posts on reddit where people openly said that since the queue system has been implemented, they refuse to log out for days at a time.

No they’re long in the morning because the game is popular in Asia and that’s their peak hours. Since there’s no region lock they flood onto NA and EU servers when theirs fills up. Asia should be region locked, but Blizz are lazy and incompetent as usual.

I want to know what they have for setups, because the game crashes for me three+ times a day when I play.

Oh really?? I had no idea. I assumed it was per region because…I mean…we aren’t playing on their servers. Makes no sense LOL. That is actually funny.

Login ques are at the authentication server not the game server you being in game has nothing to do with the que.

Pretty sad huh? I was really confused the first time they referred to early morning in the US/late morning early afternoon in the UK as “peak hours”.

We could always play on Asia servers if we wanted to, but why bother? The ping is hellacious. Makes zero sense in either direction, but they’re pretty addicted to Blizzard games over there.
