Why is there ANOTHER Profanity Filter for D2R that can't be turned off?

i hate the profanity filter too, but i love you whining americlowns, who think your ‘freezepeaccch111!’ is relevant outside of your crappy country.

LOL, Hearthstone actually has even stricter filter - you cannot chat at all, but only use six pre-defined emotes. While it has its purpose in a PvP-only game (so the players cannot cheat by agreeing not to fight each other until their daily quests are completed; I’ve seen such a chat restriction implemented in other games, but only in PvP modes), I suspect the main reason is that the players don’t see “bad words” in the game.

Hmm, good to know. I only know SC2, D3, and D4 have the option for sure but wasn’t sure about HS or OW2, I’ll remove HS from the list. Looking at a video looks like OW2 has the option to disable the filter.

It’s sad how Coddle Culture has even pervaded a game about slaughtering demonic forces. Modern gamers are so soft. I remember one of my favourite aspects of this game in the early 2000s was all the gamer words that used to get thrown around.

The alphabet people gets triggered by litterly anything, that’s why.
