I personally think the original looked like Kefka from FF6 early renders.
They’ve already deleted a bunch of threads about the amazon, when this one’s deleted, they’ll keep getting made. Even people I know IRL and aren’t going to be playing D2R have made comments about how bad the Amazon looks. It’s all over twitter, reddit, discord, etc.
If Blizzard decides to double down to defend the ego of an artist, or whatever reason, fine. But the amazon, if unchanged, is going to become a meme for a decade, with all names on Bnet2.0 becoming “Granmazon, Uglyzon, Trumpazon, etc.” it’s a fact that this will happen if they don’t change it.
Even Kefka would be better. She at least Wouldn’t look 55-65. The voice is so far off from what the new amazon looks like…it’s going to be super weird.
The amazon looks between 45 - 55 at the best.
She doesn’t even have crows feet or aged skin.
Even at 45-55, is that the right age to be adventuring?
How many professional athletes are playing at 45-55 in Basketball? Football? Hockey? Baseball?
Yeah, she’s just the right age for the physical demands of being a warrior…
At least with the necro and sorc, it could be justified that all they have to do is move.

Especially for the story of Diablo…a story where many adventurers have constantly battled evil and ended up dead. You see their corpses everywhere in the game…and 20-30 years later, you miraculously find all this out and start the battle? it’s unrealistic. They’re young warriors, 20-35 at most, even the sorceress was called “young sorceress”…the story of the amazon being near 50 years doesn’t fit the D1 or D2 lore.

If you read the skill descriptions, all of the Amazon powers are “gifted” from the gods. She has no magical powers.
Semantics. She uses “abilities” for damage.
Without Equipment and Abilities she becomes weak.
