That will be when Battle.net finally goes offline.
its because there using barebones crew for d2r…the rest of the team is working on diablo 4…d2r was only there to get everyone reinvested in the diablo franchise because they knew d4 was on the way…what has been fixed is just for show so they can be like see we fix stuff…then after they fix stuff they remove personnel from the project and put them on more profitable projects…its lame af and it wont stop because too many people are so desperate for the next game instead of going outside and touching grass…as far as bots go…blizzard supports them…if they didnt support them they would be banned as soon as they get flagged not put into a pool to be banned on the next ban wave…its anti comsumer practices and they should be held accountable for it
Good is “subjective”. The value for me subjectively is not worth the cost compared to other products in the market. But that’s just my personal opinion based on my personal preferences. You may find more value in it. As with most things, YMMV.
it would great if they started doing a tick-tock schedule for updates
tick for big changes like scharms, nhd and new gear with a new season
tock for small txt changes and balancing in the middle of the season
one dev and a week of time(i some of us can do it in one day) is all its needed to get a txt only changes made
That would mean they would have to plan to dedicate time to D2:R… Lets suppose they do though…
Rule #1 of the D2:R tic-toc plan… If there are any other games that need ANYTHING more than their allotted time accounts for, dip into the time for the D2:R tic-toc plan and reschedule.
Wait… It kind of seems like that’s what they are doing now…
Hell I opened a ticket on Pez Radar and his lack of community involvement, and shady patch announcement BS.
I was told to post about it on the forums.
You know… they place they don’t ever go that the ticket was about?
well basically hehehe
a tic-toc schedule would immensely help with the lack of news within d2r, or at least the perception of it, appeasing the restless minds and giving the game an air of clearer progress
but none of this would help if this lack of communication continued
It is incredibly obvious…how many copies of d2r are they selling right now? How much money is it bringing blizz? The answer is pretty much nothing. So from a business standpoint why would they use development time and money to update a game that makes them virtually no money…you think their board of directors cares that d2r is now enjoyed more by 13 people on the forum? They want to see $$$$ so immortal and d4 are priority. After about half a year into d4 I bet we will see more activity back on d2r…
Take a look at last year end financial statement, d2r means nothing for them.
Yep, true. The “post-game release support” that was figured into the pricing of the game was probably blown through right out of the gate with all of the server problems that it was experiencing. The rest of what we’re getting are support vapors… Running on E.
It’s one of the pitfalls of “buy once, play forever” game pricing.
Maybe they should have done a $5/month, $15/ladder season, or $40/year subscription pricing scheme to play on battle.net, but you get to play the game offline forever with any subscription purchase… Along with a heavy handed response for botters.
Everything is simple in the minds of frustrated ppl or according to ppl with lack of knowledge. Ppl seem to forget that there are limited resources and a feeling is not the same as fact. If its something we know, alot of things are much more complicated than we want to believe.
For example achieving world peace is easy for the highschool student and fixing all the enviromental issues is ez for Greta.
I too would happily pay subscription to keep d2r alive with many updates & bans to botters/mh users…
But I’m quite certain if that was the case, blizz would still see it as chump change that isn’t worth breaking their backs over.
People seem to really forget video games are no different than a car for sale or really any product a business wants to sell. They no doubt have either weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings with their board and major shareholders to discuss costs associated with each game, how much money they’re seeing flow in, forecasts of future sales and any trends to take advantage of. People, you would have to be a fool to think there are folks in those meetings that think d2r needs any attention let alone money, they probably all groan every time they bring it up…
Eh, while this could be the case, it would give power to the players to stifle the flow of future payments due to lack of support. Right now all any D2:R player can do is scream “I WILL NEVAR BUY ANOTHER BLIZZARD GAME AGAIN!!!11!11”… Which Blizzard would shrug and reply “OK. We already got your money bruh.”
Blizzard would be incentivized to doing things for the game to keep us paying for more subs.
What is the problem with the bots?, i can´t understand why it affect on you, or me.
Go spend 2 seconds in the game lobby, there’s one obvious way it affects us.
Then there are “rare” items… Bots make them common, which ruins the idea of the rarity of these items, and makes any rare item you happen to find worthless. And of course makes people money during the process of making rare items common.
I buy a lot of items and runes for real money, the bots help to slow down the prices, I like it, I like the bots.
Items are cheap thanks to them.
Then you are part of the problem.
Shame on you.
Oh really, why?
bla bla bla 20 characters
He’s got 9 posts. It’s just one of the multi accounts dude lol. Likely a new account cause he got banned.
Why play a game if you’re going to pay to win? What’s the point? It’d be like skipping straight to the end of Zelda: A Link to the Past with all of the GG gear just to fight Gannon and see the end credits.
CC warrior noobs.
Because I can.
What is the problem with you that I buy 40 ber runes, or watever? I don´t afect you at all.
