Why is act 4 so small compared to the other acts? Would act 4 have more maps and content, but was it removed from the final version of the game? Does anyone know the true story about.
They ran out of time in the lead up to the original release, so they cut content at the end. Before LOD, act 4 was the end.

Act 4 was the original last act for Diablo 2, and during development cycle they spent too much time on act 1 and act 2, so when they work on act 4 they went out of time.
Because Hell is apparently the size of a studio flat in New York City…
