Game is once again ruined in just under 3 days. Bots are running rampant, Dclone spawned on the second day on EU, I can barely find a tals helm while there’s games up with Jahs, Bers, CoA’s. People don’t even want to trade in game for items they just want forum gold from that horrible website that blizzard doesn’t nothing about as well. What kind of ladder can you have when this continues to happen? Leaderboards aren’t even real if it’s just bots leveling 24/7. This game has been left in the trash and blizzard doesn’t care. What a shame, a once beloved company just destroys its own titles. It’s a botting simulator and this company does nothing to appease its customers. This will be my last ladder. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
Well first off, the botters are better programmers than anyone Blizzard has, they cannot detect most of the private ones out there, and with VPN allowed again, some botters have hundreds on the go.
Blizzard has zero control over this.
Funny that its real players who are on top of the Ladder each season, not bots…
Like everyone else, I doubt it, you will be playing each ladder like clockwork. If you put this much effort into playing with a solid group, you could have it all and be on top of Ladder if you wanted!
I don’t agree with you what so ever, you sound like a botter yourself. It’s not humanly possible to keep up with a 8 player Baal / Chaos game full of bots going 24/7. People have to eat, sleep, etc. getting 99 isn’t done in one week. You’re optimistic which is fine but unfortunately that’s not the reality. And this will be “my” final ladder unless this is addressed. I’m not going to compete with an army of bots. Not sure why you’re assuming I’m going to continue to play after my last post lol, I’d rather play on single player or maybe mess around on non-ladder. I’m not going to lose sleep over ladder again. You know the current state of the game is in shambles, and I’m surprised blizzard can’t do anything about a website selling its intellectual property. Items > forum gold > real money.
it’s still true if you like it or not, top on ladder are not bots…
also, they earn more money selling lots of copies for people who bot than for someone like you or me that just buy one copy for a lifetime lol
cash is king
Simple answer:
blizzard actually like RETURN botters. the people that buy keys every ban wave. you must be new here.
Blizzard loves bots, especially RMT botters… They make them a lot more money than legitimate players because they repeatedly rebuy the game when they get banned.
Blizzard has to maintain a delicate balance… Ban them often enough so the legitimates don’t complain (as much) and botters don’t completely swamp their servers, and not too often so cheaters/botters have time for their shenanigans, and feel it’s worth it to rebuy the game and restart the cycle again when they are eventually banned.
Stopped reading here as you clearly have no clue.
Current 1-99 ladder start record is under 4 days in both expansion modes. Players always outperformed bots in the ladder race.
You just suck at the game and you never stood a chance. Accept it and move on.
Bots don’t play in 8ppl games for exp.
They run solo for items. That’s it.
People near top of ladder work in teams.
It is reasonable to be somewhat disappointed by all the bots, even if you do not belong to the top tier players.
It is true Blizz has profit on the Ban waves, thats how it is.
So the situation will very likely not change, and no one wants people being overly dramatic about it, but thats not what OP has done so far.
Whoa there buddy don’t get so aggressive I have a life I don’t care about 1-99 as much as i care about the economy for D2R. It would be nice for it to last more than 3 days. Go outside and touch grass don’t be so hostile lol.
Buddy, just don’t talk about stuff, you have no idea about and don’t spread false information, then I won’t be “hostile” to you. Especially if you don’t care about the leaderboards anyway, why mention them if you don’t know anything about the 99 race?
Maybe you should touch some grass and get some fresh air instead of crying over a bad economy on probably jsp.
Thats on you tho, i found some good items so did many others i know.
People dont want to trade in game for decade lol. Nothing new.
Not true, i know several people from top hc positions. Its just normal people from hc groups dedicated to leveling. They are not bots.
been playing on and off for 20 years. Given up on this company. just uninstalled the game for the last time.
I’m going to have to call baloney on that one… You know as well as I that you’ll be back whenever they do release a patch.
If you’re going to quit, there’s no need to tell others. Just do it.
Truth. Even though I didn’t play for 2 seasons, never uninstalled and have been playing this one (even if only to kill time before next season of D4, lol, though I did miss playing and getting my booster of it).
Idk if it’s that they don’t care about bots, but something to keep in mind is that bots both contribute to sales and player metrics for their company. So that might be a reason why
The cynic in me believes they are doing even less about bots in D2R because they want to use it as an example as to why D4 should not have open trading.

Blizzard’s banwaves are such that it allows botters to make a profit before their accounts get banned. They know if they go too hard most botters will give up as they’ll be losing money.
The idea that Blizzard is incapable of dealing with this problem in 2023 if they really wanted to just defies belief. I’m sure many of us can think of half a dozen simple ways they could make life for botters more difficult. They simply do not want to as it cuts off a steady source of income for the game.
eh, there’s a few prolific botters who have consistently been hitting the first page or so with their botted characters (at least they did last ladder, one of them is a huge botter on JSP and had at least 4 characters on the leaderboards)
Wouldn’t be surprised if many of the top leaderboard characters are botting, outside of the obvious streamers.
