Why do they NEVER fix Diablo’s lightning in nightmare and hell

The damn thing has been bugged since day 1 release of diablo 2. I refuse to believe that normal is the
“ incorrect “ one. Diablo should be dangerous. Standing in front of his lightning in nightmare and hell should be fixed, damn it. Uber diablo is so piss poor easy that level 18 characters kill him because his lightning does NOTHING. Why is the main antagonist of the game left with a bugged attack in nightmare and hell? Change it so that you can’t stand in front of him and be left unscathed! No other boss has different attacks depending on what difficulty that you play it on. FIX DIABLOS LIGHTNING IN NIGHTMARE AND HELL. FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT. I truly don’t know why you guys can’t fix this bug that has been around for over 20 years and makes NO sense. Normal Diablo is literally more dangerous than nightmare diablo. It’s so damn stupid. I love this game but it really pisses me off that the damn thing is never fixed.

I wish I could post this in the general forums. If anyone has access to it and can, please do it for me. Thank you.

I have made this topic before and I will never relent until it is fixed

But, it makes me feel tanky…

His lightning does nothing in Hell you say?

Are you sure?
Tried standing in it?
Yesterday, had my merc die due to Diablo’s lightning. Twice, once each on two separate characters.

Was awesome blowing 100k gold on resurrecting my merc(s).

If you’re essentially on top of him, using melee, the lightning doesn’t hit you. Maybe at certain angles it can still impact, but I’ve definitely noticed what the op is talking. When it hits though, yes it is very strong. - I hadn’t noticed that this same ‘glitch’ didn’t occur in Normal though.

Yep, in normal standing really close will do immense damage. It’s been like this since day 1 of the original release of Diablo 2. If you or your mercenary aren’t as close as you can get to his face, you’ll still take big damage. I feel that it could scale to Nightmare and Hell a bit more. It should act like it does in normal as well as doing just a little more damage than it currently does.
