I actually have to agree! Just because D2 was like that doesn´t mean it has to stay that way.
It’s called a hero editor and it’s fun to use… single player only obviously
The fact that an edited character was used to demonstrate the concept does not invalidate anything. Everyone who focuses on the hero editor being used are just blithely ignoring the fact that he also has online characters that take advantage of the uncapped IAS, which he in fact made 2 live, on stream. And no, while the top end of the absurd attack speeds are of course unattainable normally, there are combinations of items that allow zons and sins to attain previously unattainable attack speeds. Before one looks at the numbers and cries absurdity, one should at least be able to appreciate the difference between the IAS that Fanaticism gives, and the IAS on gear. One is EIAS and the other isn’t.

You nailed it in the last sentence. Cap IAS. That’s what is broken. The cap appears to be removed.
I’d expect a wave of fixes at some point which include Firewall & IAS caps to be put back in place.
Yeah and bowazons, barbs, and physical assassins are dogcrap in 1.10 D2 normally, meanwhile its fine that paladins have been OP with concentration aura hammer bug for 20 years and sorcs and javas can do 10x more damage with garbo starter gear.
If anything, this makes physical classes more balanced and shouldnt be fixed.

OP: Please dont run with scissors.
This is not the way to fix the whacked balance for physical classes - it breaks other parts of the game, like PVP, or those frenzytaurs. Using an existing flaw to justify introducing another flaw is a quick way to design yourself into an irreparable mess.
I watched MrLlamaSC video.
D2R now can get lower attack speed then the 9frame cap in D2.
I do not think its a bad thing though considering how underwhelming attacks/melee are in D2 compare to spells.

. It’s like putting 99 in every single F’ing skill in the tree and calling it imbalanced. Mr. Lame aka Llama is just some click bait single player demonstrator like all these annoying streamers that make vids for views.
Hell lets make a vid where we have a sorc using an item that gives her conviction aura and - 100 lightning resistance to all monsters and call Lightning OP. It’s the same damn thing.
If anything this IAS buff is much needed and appreciated.

Imagine caring about IAS when the game is already abandoned and half the time you can’t get online to use your broken IAS anyway.

It’s clear at that point the apes programming D2R couldn’t make it work and just abandoned ship. There has been no bugs fixed other than crashes since release, because they just don’t know how.
yeah, it’s going to be interesting to see. it wasn’t that you coudln’t get that much IAS before in classic, it was just that it did nothing after you got down to like 9 frames per attack. you could keep adding more ias from gear, but it woudln’t do anything
gonna be wild to see how much we can get up to now. i’m tempted to socket my claws on my assassin and chase IAS gear and runewords to see what i can do as a dual claw martial artist. i hadn’t even broke 200% ias and my assassin was a lawnmower.

The IAS bug is the same thing that causes older Sonic games (Sega Genesis) to run insanely fast on modern PCs. To fix this you can force a lower framerate or the devs can fix it by modifying the code to where if a skill breaks past a specific value it reverts back to the number in a math formula.

I had the same thing with certain “shareware” games I enjoyed on windows 3.1 and then tried out on win 95
