The ‘all americans are rich’ myth is coming from the 1950s billboards depicting happy families with their house & cars, when the rest of the world looked up to america. This is a time long over.
Europeans have more money and way better living conditions, better healthcare, better infrastructure, especially german-speaking countries. Japanese have much more money as well, while having a much nicer country.
America has a lot of super-rich, but thats not an actual reflection of the country and it’s living conditions, because super-rich will always live way above the crowd, no matter where.
To the point with the streamers - they get the money donated from their viewers, to do things like buying a $20k character in a game, that can’t be compared to a ‘normal’ person.
Meh, sorry but I won’t get to be lectured about moral principles by people who left sacrificed their families and camarades in the North to the mercy of Evil people
Starving in the North while the south praises spending thousands on pixels
Sorry, the average working American doesn’t have a lot of money.
Insurance companies and the healthcare system are both doing everything they can to cripple us, and they have been succeeding for quite some time.
Then there is corporate greed to consider… CEO pay has ballooned out of control starting in the 70’s/80’s, which would have otherwise have been pay raises for the employees of the company.
Now the prices of essentials are skyrocketing out of control… Groceries and fuel.
Yeah, the average working American isn’t rich. The small fraction of people who own all of the land are the ones who are rich.
I’ve played for probably 30 hours now, level 54. I don’t understand where or why someone would spend hundreds of USD within 2-3 hours. You dont need the $100 box. It’s literally troll streamers like Asmon who do it for a laugh.
Maybe after 40 hours at true end game you’d want to bulk buy currency for gem upgrades. But there is zero need to spend within the first 30 hours.
I was referring to more lucrative lands, as in commercial properties, or any land that is at the commercial heart of any metropolitan area. Not saying your land isn’t important or anything.
Fake news. I’m an average American (naturalized) and I own 2 houses and condo in Sunshine state. Average European probably lives in rental apartment in City and has only 1 car in a family while our kids are driving own cars since 16. My health insurance is decent and provided by employer. The point I make - we don’t waste money on a garbage such is pay-to-win game. It has to do with mentality and not valet.
High income and High wealth are two very different things. Income means you earn a lot but many people with high income spend everything and thus they are not high wealth.
Wealthy people don’t spend their money, that’s why they are wealthy.
Now lets just talk about what you expect people should be paying for a game? a good AAA game for the PC costs $60. Since game companies think they should get more money they decide to sell stuff because people who don’t know what else to do with their money will spend it. That does not mean the average person out there should be expected to drop over $100 per game they want to play.
Spending 20K on a game…well A fool and his money are quickly parted.
In Gods Waiting Room it does. Houses in Florida are very cheap compared to other area’s (depending on the area.) A nice 5 bedroom on the ocean where you have your own private doc is about the same as a standard 3 bed condo in CA. I could buy 5 houses in some area’s of FL with what my ‘townhome’ is worth.
Also for health insurance, there is a ‘generational’ divide. The older generation have had their companies paying for their health insurance their whole lives. The younger workers do not get their employers to pay for it, they have to pay for it themselves. They just pay ‘through’ their employer so they think it’s a benefit. Thus the younger crowd is far more in favor of ‘socialized’ medicine than the older crowd is. When you pay $500/mo for your insurance you have a slightly different attitude than when you pay $25/mo
