White runeword did not work

Used a plain wand (no attributes as you can see, besides the ones added by the runes and the standard increased 50% dmg on undead)

We can’t see - there is no screenshot attached. :smiley: Is it Mechanic’s by any chance?

trying to figure out how to upload my screenshot :sweat_smile:

Can upload to imgur and use preformatted text to post a link like this

That one is a magic item unfortunately (you can tell by its blue name). I don’t know what it says but I’d assume it’s “mechanic’s” affix which gives sockets to an item - hence why there are no other additional properties. For the runeword to work, an non-magical item (with the gray name) has to be used.

if it was magical, why are there no other attributes besides the ones added by the runes?? This is not the first time i make a runeword :sweat_smile:

The sockets are the magical attributes that the item gives. :slight_smile:

25% chance that hit causes monster to flee => DOL
10 To Vitality => IO
50% increased dmg on undead
…
no other attributes

The sockets are the magical attribute on a mechanics item.

Just so i get it right
you can have a magic wand where the only magic attribute is the wand having sockets (like the one i used)
you can have a grey / plain wand, whichy by definition has no attributes but is socketed
(the one i shouldve used)
=> logically both items are the same, but not technically
