Well HR drop rates have been significantly buffed since then. To be precise the drop rates was increased by a large margin in the 1.13c patch in 2010.

I know that lol, I’ve also put in probably 6 hours a day since d2r launch and my best find is 1 Vex rune (and I only found a Cham rune back in the day, all of my rune related stuff has been from trades). And that’s doing everything to try and optimize rune finding (mass mob killing, trav runs, chaos runs, killing specific mobs with higher rune drop chances, you name it). Your odds for finding HRs is about 1/200,000 on the high end and maybe 1/1,000,000 on the low end depending on what mob it is (excluding special ones like council). Without any sort of pity timer system, it’s just possible to be completely railed by RNG. If you didn’t get something in the first 200,00 kills, you don’t increase your odds for the next 200,000 kills, basic stuff. With such low odds there’s a huge amount of variance that’s likely to occur.

I had Ber drop once back in the day, I don’t really remember well but I think it was just some random enemies.

Was a pretty great day. I was able to get my hands on a Jah later by trading and made an Enigma, the first and so far last I have had. Would be pretty cool to make a second one.

I have had 4 bers drop so far all in cow level.

I’ve never seen either drop. And with the abysmal drop rates, I doubt I ever will.

Where u farm? How many runs u do per day for example?

I’ve found a single Vex and Cham to date.

Trav is the easiest for me to farm (not having an enigma limits where I can do quick runs. It’s tough to make enigma when…you know…the runes for it never drop. And people aren’t going to trade them for mid-tier stuff). I do a few dozen runs every day.

I also run hell cows at night for an hour or two, but good luck getting to a drop. Assuming any HRs drop that is. So far best drop was an Ist, which the other guy got to first.

Id you do 5-6 runs , this number is super low for farming. Did 173 baal runs on NM for oculus and didnt find it.
Many places dont req enigma, like the pit, mausoleum, diablo,
Everything in the game can drop something. Need many tries tho

And that’s why I complain about the abysmal drop rates.

And I’ve ran the “typical” lvl85 areas. The problem goes back to my point above- if you don’t do hundreds, or even thousands, of runs, you likely won’t find anything. The game doesn’t have to be this stingy with drops. People can always play D2 if they want that “experience”.
