I need to find a 2-socket field plate chest armor to make Stealth from but I can’t seem to find it on vendors. I only see up to splint mail at Fara in Act 2 Normal (I got a 2-socket splint mail already though). I know that field plate is a medium armor and that it has a penalty of -5% faster run/walk and 50% more stamina drain but since D2R released, I am absolutely loving how the armor looks on each of the classes (I have a character for each class around lvl 15s). I have been using https ://i.redd.it/r41tjn4d7yy61. jpg (without any spaces) as my guide on how each type of armor looks on each of the classes and I absolutely love how field plate looks. Splint mail is fine too but I much prefer field plate since there’s only like one difference between it and full plate in terms of looks, which is that the gloves change from a mail look to a plate look. I also like field plate more because it covers the amazon and sorceress’ legs and it looks like a complete full armor, which I find looks really cool (not saying that showing legs is wrong at all… just that I prefer armor that looks like it protects them everywhere rather than just only some parts of their body).
My highest character is my amazon at lvl 24 so I have been using her to find those sockets on the vendors. I read online that only up to Act 2 Normal you can find socketed gear at vendors. Act 3 Normal and afterwards you can’t find any, which I see is the case now after refreshing the vendor stocks in Act 3 Normal from Hratli more than 50 times already lol.
Does magic find have any effect on whether I will see socketed items on the vendors? Or does it not effect it since I read somewhere online that it doesn’t but they weren’t sure if that is the case? I know having 0% MF is better to find socketed items from drops but I don’t know how long I have to wait to finally get a 2 socket field plate to drop in Act 3 lol.
