I was hoping for today, but I guess that might not happen.

I’m really unsure about the volume of the changes, too. It’s very cryptic they do the patchnotes in two batches like these, which I suppose could equally mean it will be a huge list, as much as it could mean it will be just the RWs and maybe a tiny bugfix here or there.

Honestly, I don’t understand the hold up, and as per usual Blizzard fashion, we’re kept in the dark for as long as possible. I dislike this approach, but what can you do…

Feeling exactly the same, its too suspicious, no contents, dead silence from devs without any promise. Holy this is depressing

The longer it takes, the higher my expectations…!

Scammed by blizzard.

I don’t really like it either. I like being hyped about what’s to come, instead of not knowing a damn thing and always just hoping they are doing something we actually care about.

It would be cool if they showed the patch notes soon

My guess is within next two hours

the no word about the ā€œother intended changesā€ are either:

A) Going to be the biggest patch in d2r history and be the most amazing thing ever!!!111!
B) Bomb completely and break the game
-OR-
C) The other additional changes aren’t really that much, no QoL or anything, it is minor bug fixes and that’s it and they don’t want the community to get even more upset than they are and give them time to be upset.

Because if it is option C, people will still begrudgingly play S3 for the new fresh ladder and by not telling us until it’s pretty much Go time, it cuts down on the amount of time the bad PR will give them and hang around.

I really don’t want it to be option C

It’s a good bit past 10 AM PST, patch notes probably aren’t coming today. Guesing Thursday now.

If the patch notes are coming on Thursday, it implies there are pretty much nothing to test on PTR…? Only few days to test before ladder reset, are devs confident about this…? Seriously >,> pfffft

They didn’t want us testing those ā€œother, additional changesā€ because they wanted the focus of the PTR to be the new runewords. When that PTR finished the other day, they said that there will be changes to the new runewords and then nothing else.

Which means we are getting untested changes again, which means to me it’s going to fall flat on it’s face.

I’m a little nervous this could be the case. I think we are going to see a fair amount more than was on the PTR. In the past, blizzard has made an effort to squash the hype when we all get hoping and talking about something that isn’t going to happen (when immortal was announced instead of d4 they tried to warn us, and some D3 patches). They have made no effort to bring us all down, so I’m thinking there may be some juicy stuff coming. I want some changes, but I’d prefer they are tested. Here’s to hoping it all goes smoothly.

It means they arent going to do anything significant this patch besides the runes.

I disagree, but we’ll find out for sure pretty soon.

after the Scharms + hork fiasco they realized they can go live with big changes without testing and just ā€œwhite glueā€ it later with ladder running

Honestly you know they do this because it creates ā€œcontent.ā€

you mean hype?

yeah, im on my second hershey’s here
