Where are the PC Specs?

Where is Blizzard hiding the system requirements for their games?

I bought D2R a year ago and couldn’t play it on my PC (integrated Intel graphics being unsupported). I put in a ticket for a refund which was closed without refunding because it took so long to get action that I forgot about it. So, I technically own the game but have never been able to play it. I’m planning on buying a gaming laptop soon and also interested in making sure it can handle D4 when that releases.

TLDR: System requirements should be one of the first items we see when looking at the web site of a new upcoming or recently released game.

System requirements can be found at the bottom of the Shop page for Diablo II: Resurrected:

We also have a support article here:

I’d like to have a rephrase on that…
Please state “actual” game requirements…
we both know the AVX requiremet removal back in 2021 made whole bunch of cpu’s prior to that i3 capable of running this game…

also the latest intel drivers and intel’s integrated gpus seem to run this game…
at least I’m able to launch the game on a Core m-3 8100Y with intel’s UHD 615 and the latest driver from dec’22… this game runs on a freaking chineese Surface-GO knock-off tablet… though the tablet has 8GB of ram ( minus the amount eaten by igpu)
So what exactly are the minimum requiremets to run this game?
Please consult the D2R technical division on any updates to the old official data on this matter, before answering us, as it appears there might be changes to what’s officially stated on the company’s website…
@Blackline state your iGPU model… if it’s an Intel one you may be in luck, and have a try at D2R… I’ll guide you through the steps to try…

TL:DR
I managed to launch an play D2R on a chineese knock-off tablet so the statements of GTX660/ HD7870 or whatever are a myth…
Sure it looks ugly as hell and is set to lowest setting possible, but it runs if i’d lower the framerate from uncaped to 25-30fps, i might actually switch over from legacy mode to standard display

It’s common knowledge that if you want to play something don’t count on Intel  . It has to have second 3D card/chip on a board.

Yeah Intel’s integrated GPUs might be unsupported but with recentmost drivers they seem to work with this game. I mean the efficiency is ‘meh’ , but the game launches and is playable on the lowest setings possible or legacy mode ( provided your system has at least 8GB of RAM and a decent m.2 drive ( not neseccarily NVMe ).

at least YouTube prooves the game works on intel’s HD 520. Also I recently launched it on Intel’s UHD 615… it’s enaugh of a proof for me. you just need to update to Intel’s official drivers starting from 100 or 101 for the intel’s 6-10 generation processor integrated GPUs.

And before you ask, yes Intel’s integrated GPUs do have driver upgrades, same way as Nvidia’s or AMD’s GPUs have driver updates.

My wife recently bought a Laptop with fancy OLED screen and it had only Intel on board.
She was able to run AoE4 but it was ugly AF if you compare to my Nitro with GeForce. WiFi on a board died within two weeks and we brought it back to Costco though. So no more such mistakes.

i’m not sure I’m following…
what does OLED have to do with integrated graphics?

If it’s Acer Nitro, then No wonder You don’t want to game on integrated GPU Acers don’t even have a heatsink for iGPU, just a bare chip sitting there, was shocked myself when I dissasembled a couple of them, it turns out it’s Acer’s policy on material savings.

Now I’m not saying You sould specifically buy a device without dedicated GPU for gaming, because One shouldn’t, but if someone doesn’t have anything better, and their intel GPU meets Dx12 requiremets, they may try to play D2R, and aren’t forced to upgrade.
Sure the experience isn’t going to be wonderfull, and one may sacrifice a lot of visual quality just to be able to launch the game, but the option is there, it’s not impossible.
I wasn’t buying my tablet with D2R in mind, actually I needed something that isn’t generating much heat, as during the summer, I’m not able to run my PC due to high temperature and electrical grid preventing me from installing Air Conditioning.
when temp inside is around 38-40 degrees centigrade, it’s better to have any device with internet than none at all… I just was shocked that this tablet did launch D2R at all, I’m not intending to do any heavy gaming on it…

I own Acer Nitro 5 with GeForce 3050Ti and very happy with it. It enough for occasional play of D2/3 and Wow classic. The one I’m referring to is also an Acer, Swift Edge 16 with OLED 16" 4K screen and … Intel Integrated.

Jeez. Brutal. I live in FL and we never have more than 92F even outside

than no wonder it died…

It’s not intel that produces crap… It’s Acer that doesn’t put heatsinks on Intel GPU chips. If you game on such a machine it will not only heat throttle but also the chip may burn out…

In such cases Acer is to blame not Intel

as for 38-40 degrees i meant centigrade 38-40C not farenheit

As I said above it’s Wi-Fi 6E chip got busted. It has nothing to do with overheat or GPU/CPU.

I know what Celsius is. 40C heat indoors is brutal.

well it’s the same freaking thing wifi 6E chips also need to be heatsinked, on the contrary to previous wifi generations, but they aren’t. this is probably a problem for all manufacturers

40C indoors is brutal, but if i can’t install AC, than what can i do? My flat is just under the building’s rooftop, so during some years such things happen, most of the electronics is inoperatioal then
