Queue… Cannot Connect, Queue (1hr)…play… Game Crash, Queue (30min)…play… Lost Connection, Queue…play… Game Crash, Queue…159th…Close Game for the day…
This is real game play. #refundd2r
-Game crashes (with and w/o a crash msg)
-Freeze crash (HC player killer)
-Connection issues (also a HC char killer)
-Queue (Blizz took our money and is too cheap to buy more servers)
PS I put this in the bug section because the whole game is one big bug at this point.

this game has so many bugs i think they will never fix all of the problems lol
there are so many gameplay breaking bugs and they did not make any statement about it… nor did they fix anything yet. they just made it worse with their queue and the unfinished game creation delay stuff

I think it’s also worth noting that if it were just one or two of the issues, that’d be tolerable - not ideal but tolerable.
However another hour-long queue wait after playing for 15 minutes due to a game crash …
I can’t even begin to imagine playing HC in this environment.

I asked for a refund.
My request was declined.
But I keep insisting that I bought the game under the premise that I’d be able to create or join online games, which is currently not the case.
Now, introducing queue is just a cheap way to on safe server costs. It makes no other sense for an instantiated 8player-world…
Please do not only report it here, but create support tickets and demand a refund or some kind of compensation for this game that comes up with random new bugs every week.
You have the time, you are waiting in queue!

They knew about it but some greedy moron forced them to release. They should publish his personal informations and image.

Some money hungry CEO trying to pump shares higher amid lawsuits lol… gotta pump those Call of Duty and Diablo numbers up to make up for bad PR losses lol… Customers suffer because of greed.
what do you expect? this company is not the blizzard it once was. all new people mostly only there for the money. I bet they dont even play d2.
they released it because they needed a bump in their Q3 earnings report. And you can always dispute it with your credit card company if you bought it that way. My friend did that and had no problem getting a refund. Banks usually are fine with small refunds like this as long as it’s not something you do all the time. (my friend had US BANK)
This credit card dispute is a good idea, thank You for bringing that up.
But you can only do this within a few days after purchase, right?
Because At launch I was happy with the state of the product, but this queue-thing was what triggered me to demand a refund.
Totally agreed.
The game feels like complete garbage now.
It was so much better like 3 weeks ago and lol it was so much better 2 years ago!
Feel very unhappy about this “product”.
+1

Same, happened at least 4 times last night. Crash to desktop, log back in sit for 30 minutes in a queue…rinse/repeat.
Now I get up this morning and think “ya I’ll play a bit”. #417 in queue…hasn’t moved in 10 minutes.
with the random crash to desktops being the same now as before they implemented the que i actually had more game time before even when the whole server would crash for hours. now as an adult who works 12 hour shifts and just wants a lil relaxing time playing a game i love i have to wait an hour and think ahead for when i want to play. do i wanna play d2r for 10-15 minutes, sometimes less, in about an hours time? better go start up a que…although admittedly ill chime in from time to time to see if they fix it because i grew up with this game they will never see another dollar from me on future products because not only should they have caught this before release…they are poorly handling the problems making the “temporary” (sure…if you believe that) solution worse than the problem.

oh wait, the have no chat, i cant creat a channel. worse interface than 98s
From the information Blizzard released, I believe 2 weeks ago, the issue is related to the architectural design of server communication with the databases and the communication between the databases themselves. If this is true throwing more servers at the issue won’t provide relief. The queue functionality is setup to reduce the writes being made to the database at a given time. Additionally, the game creation limit is designed to limit db writes. Sounds like they have some actual code fixes that need to take place to only write when needed, but if they can’t make headway here a redesign of the databases could be required. Both of these are crazy difficult, you have to run them through multiple environments of testing. You don’t want database or code that controls database related functionality changed on the fly. That’s how we’ll loss all our characters and they could be down for a long period if they screw up the data. (I’m sitting in a crazy queue and experiencing crashes, so I get it though). Just devils advocate here, good chance this wasn’t found in testing. Performance load testing is pretty difficult stuff, were getting into user behavior, expensive automation tools and you could still miss issues.
I have been waiting for 3 hours, please fix the queueueue

I hope this is not a “No Man’s Sky” scenario…
I am in the same position and with a similar gaming-behaviour.
I asked for a refund and am still writing messages with GM’s as they refuse my request. (Reasons: I played too much and the purchase is more than 2 weeks ago… of course, then the game was fine compared to the last few days!!)
But as you write, if things are as brittle after a few weeks of production it will get much worse in the next months/years, if no substantial amounts of money are thrown at the problem.
