They shouldn’t even have a game if they can’t update it. What a pointless reset. Keep feeding the RMTs.

Pointless to certain aspects:

  1. Doing nothing to curtail botting
  2. Keeping ladder season so short to give botters/RMT’rs best timeframe to maximize their profits
  3. Keeping TZ’s to make reaching 99 so easily done and so fast to achieve

… yeah, certain aspects of it allow for a sense of pointlessness.

I was so close to actually closing this chapter of gaming when MS bought out Botnet. Now, unfortunately, I have somewhat of a false hope that something may actually change for the better. Maybe I need to change my rose colored sunglasses out.

But, again, bearing mind that they did transition right before the holidays of last year’s 4th quarter.

So, given the holiday season, a new year, management transitioning, checking the books on finances and all the games they have, meetings upon meetings to make various decisions … Getting a reset w/o further damaging the game is a hopeful start.

Maybe by end of Q1 2024 or start of Q2 2024 … they will make a decision on what direction they intend to take and announce something …

I am holding out til then … give them a fair shake.

Nothing fixed towards the positive side of things will happen overnight … it takes time and planning.

FYI - Fiscal years are not the same as the calendar year! Q1 starts in July, Q2 in October, Q3 begins January, and Q4 begins in April. I would be more concerned with MSFT trying to pump out some sort of subscription service. But I am with you, clinging on to some sort of updates in the future.

Reset is in 1 day & 5 hours

  • no patch
  • no new content
  • no mosaic removal which lags every game out to a point of disconnecting everyone within that game, also makes you godmode with just a mal and gul totally dumb.
  • no stackable currency stash that would kill at least 2 mules needed for all that
  • no lootfilter to sort out trash like an “ETH Morning Star 8-25 dmg” with integrated ilvl to know what amu or grand charm to craft on
  • Hammerdin still bugged and conc working with a magic skill, which it shouldn’t
  • And since there’s no MTX Shop like in D4, no P2W like in IMMORAL and with lead dev Rob Gallerani gone it looks even more dark (what I find funny though is that D3 still gets seasonal stuff, yet they promised D2:R to be a live service game and we had 0 seasonal themes (besides the TZ which is core) yet lol)

Be greatful that they are resetting ladder and not adding anything to break it worse.

forget about this game!
Blizzzzzzzzard has shown us that they have no intention of doing anything new with this game.
They don’t care.
They have Diablo 4( which I won’t play anymore).
Now they are fixated on the game that has donations.
