The point of Ladder for me is fresh start.

Actually your title and problem contradict itself. You seem a bit on edge.
If your goal to start Ladder is to take advantage of others and be rich early on. Now losing to bots and raging on this forum. There is more to life then a few extra pixels.

I’ve been playing Diablo II online for 25 years on and off. Ever since I bought a Nintendo Switch 2, I’ve moved to playing on Single Player and it’s been way better that way. Bots will always be there to ruin the fun for everyone else. That Ber rune that just dropped after 100 hours of gameplay? Totally worthless. You can buy it for $4.99 2 weeks into a fresh ladder start. Trying to compete on the ladder? Lmao… Good luck competing against people using maphack, auto-tele and playing solo 8players with multiple instances. Diablo walks the earth and you suddently get an Annihilus? Well, there are several people who have ~60 instances of D2 open ready for that diablo walk and will monopolize the anni market. There’s no point in playing ladder. Only one who benefits for it are cheaters. If you play legit and have a full-time job, you’re wasting your time. Go non-ladder or single player. Or join a private server.
