What's up with the Countess?

I have been playing offline, orbwall Sorceress, on Hell difficulty, Players 7 and farming the Countess for 3 very full days. The HIGHEST rune she dropped during that time was a HEL !! This seems like a very very strange, almost impossible set of RNG. Has anyone else noticed this??

It’s just RNG being RNG.

If you’re frustrated, go farm somewhere else for a while.

Lo drop chance from Countess: 1:45779 (players 1)

The Summoner has better odds of dropping Lo at 1:37700

I have not had anything decent from her yet either found a lot of good stuff but nothing from countess at all.

I think the Countess is actually best to run on players 1 because of the way her special rune drop table works, but don’t remember the specifics.

I feel your pain on her RNG drops though, she’s was being pretty stingy on Hell difficulty back when I was running her too.

This is correct. Players 1 for countess. Also, RNG sucks sometimes, keep killing.

fyi, countess drops more runes on /p1 then higher player levels.

Ya, if you increase the difficulty, Countess probably won’t drop more than 1 rune from her special rune TC. But she may drop more unique items.

But if you are offline, why not just do Lk superchest?

OK, I’ll try player 1. Thanks for the info. I know the chance of a LO rune is very very low (heh), but it just seemed like she should be dropping higher runes than a Hel.

Yes as above players 1 is best for runes. She dropped me a few Ists and Mals over the years, but nothing higher from her ever. Once in awhile she will also drop a half decent unique as well.

RNG is RNG but this is a massive error. Countess’ rune drop table is negatively effected by increasing player count. If you’re farming her for Keys, a higher player count is better. If you want runes, just do /p 1.

Her table is weird, the lower the player count is, the better the rune drops.
