I’m playing a lightning/orb sorc at lvl 84 farming for high runes and good gear and like to weapon swap to my magic staff that offers +3 to enchant and use that on my act 2 merc to provide him with a little bonus damage but I wonder if there are weapons out there that can provide a bigger + to enchant stat.
+3 two socketed enchant staff (bonus if it has shiver armour too) with leaf runeword (tir-ral) is pretty much the bomb.

What would one of those be worth to trade for?
the runeword obedience casts lvl 21 enchant on the wearer (ur merc) on kill. the runeword only costs a fal (hel ko thul eth fal). it will give ur merc some nice fire dmg

Obedience is really nice for characters that don’t care about the meditate or conviction auras more on their merc.
Try to always pick up wands of all types and id them. For instance, there is a Jared’s Stone with +3 to fire skill along with +3 to enchant. Lots of other enchant combinations that give your sorc an enchant that can burn a hole through an iPhone 10. 
Combine with a spirit shield and if you have a cta w/ spirit shield on weapon switch for the buff, you will be the talk of the town.

IMO it’s not even worth approaching this enchant idea vs just getting him better gear.
Getting him to proper IAS break points and using high attack frame eth elite polearm is going to give you a lot more damage than this enchant pursuit.
Eth Thresher Insight, Andy’s Helm, Treachery Armor. I haven’t run the actual breakpoint through a calculator to see if you need a 15% IAS jewel in the Andy’s, so you’ll have to do a bit more research on that.
Save your weapon swap for CTA or high magic find weapon and shield for last 5% of boss HP. CTA improves your merc survivability by a surprising amount.
He has an eth insight can’t remember which one but he has like 1600 max damage give or take… he has an undead crown i think with 5% life leech(no better alternative) and a smoke. I haven’t found a lem yet or i would make a treachery. I’m nearly there with a cta just need an ohm so that should happen any minute now lol. But yea i’ve farmed the ancient tunnels for like 3 hours last night hoping for an ohm, vex, lo, um and ber for various runewords but to no avail. The enchant option is just a temporary fix while I farmed for everything else.
