The grind to 99 currently takes well over 120 hours. Is this a reasonable amount of time?
Most games can be considered completed within 40 to 80 hours. In D2, you can spend years if you aim for holy grail achievements. Even SFF builds can take months to complete.
Considering that 99 isn’t the end of the game/character, what would you consider a reasonable amount of time to reach this point?
Level 89 is as high as you need to equip any gear that you want
Most builds are completed around level 80.
There aren’t any power gains from 89 to 99.
What exactly do you think you gain with the grinding hundreds of hours for skill points that aren’t needed and stats points that are largely irrelevant?
ive been advocating for the removal of unpartied bonuses or to add /x command to bnet
either way, the gap betwen solo and multi must be reduced if not eliminated
imo taking a char to 99 should take roughly 300h, solo or multi
500h solo still is 3500h to take one of every char to 99
its even sadder if one plans to make multiple chars of the same class
Let the noobs keep thinking they are wanting a challenge by increasing the hours beyond the current peak performance hours as if such times are accessible for the average player without a streaming following…
It shouldn’t take more than 40-50 hours per character (solo). If you have no life you can go to D2: LoD and 99 10 characters, some sane people have happy lives and grind in real life.
This new instant gratification for the fat, entitled, payday loan reliant youth ruins just about everything. Unfortunately, noone knows what a challenge is now. People even get their cigarettes and Burger King delivered to their door, and complain if its cold.
We have no chance. Society doesnt want to have to try more than once to feel like they have value. Rollback to 2,4 and leave it there.
I think “the fat, entitled, […]” is the non-lifer who grinds for a video game to level 99, that are addicted to Burger King and smokes. People who don’t want to do braindead human-bot grind are usually fit because they play sports in real life.
Yes we have no chance if people their 30s+ think human-bot grind is an achievement and have no life.
Have you considered that not everyone should get to 99? That not everyone wants the game to end without it taking months?
You can have burgerking and cigs, just not all at once in 10 minutes. Thats why diabetes is rife in to those that wont work for something, and call the world unfair when they dont win immediately.
99 means nothing now. thhats the trade - we can all start at almost 99 and get there immediately, but then it means nothing at all.
