Act 1, forgotten tower: got two runes: ELD and ITH. what should I do with them?

level 14 barbarian.

Not much you can do with just those. Save them in your stash, there’s a few good really easy to make runewords that can help you out, but ELD and ITH don’t make anything on their own.

Hold off on using them.

individual runes can add a bit to your stats, but runewords are better.

As an example, Ith, El, and Eth in a 3 socket mace makes a really solid runeword for leveling, Malice. Put it in a 3 socket flail (you can shop at the vendor in act 2 for one). I used this all the way through normal and a bit into nightmare.

If you farm the countess’ tower a bit in normal, you should be able to get those runes easily.

There are 2 nice early-game weapon runewords that you can use.

  • Malice
    • 3 Socket Melee Weapons
    • Ith + El + Eth
  • Steel
    • 2 Socket Swords/Axes/Maces
    • Tir + El

Strength is another good one but you usually get Amn in NM Countess

great suggestion. Those two are actually my permanent early leveling weapons now. hard to get better for the level.
