What is your opinion in Sunder charm negative resist counter

Many people discuss about sunder charm introduction and how good it is.
But it has negative effect on the charm which is the -75% resist of the element of the specific charm.

So imagine if you want to use all the sunder charm of the 4 element, then you will get
additional -75% resistance to poison, cold, lightning, fire element
in hell difficulty you get penalty of -100% resistance
each character have to reach 75% resistance max cap. (not including item that boost up to additional % max resist)

so total in hell difficulty if you use such charms you get:
-75% - 100% -75% = Total of -250% resistance if you are naked.

Anya quest give for all difficulty provide 10% resistance. so 3 mode give 30% resistance.

meaning if in hell mode you are naked and completed all 3 mode Anya quest you will still be -220% resistance.

That to said, you will need item and charms that will boost up to 220% resist so you will get 75% max resist for all element in Hell mode.

Conclusion: items that add all resist, charms with all resists, items with partial resist and charms with partial resist will all be very useful.

Eg: HOTO provide up to 40% all resistance. 5% all resist small charms, 11% specific element resistance small charms, Tri res boots, tri res glove, resistance ammy and rings.

Whats your opinion on these? Do we have to change most of our character build already if we are using sunder charms? More choices of build or more restriction to builds?

Wait, there’s a negative resistance to yourself if you have these charms? That makes it a lot more interesting, especially for casters, how many skillers do you sacrifice for extra resists? More damage for more fragile glass seems fair at first glance.

-75 is easily neglected with charms/items, it’s barely nothing for cold/fire/light

Each grand charm type will have a penalty to its own resistance.
eg: Sunder of cold charm means you will break immune of cold monster but received a -75% penalty resistance to your own character. If you put sunder of cold, lightning, poison and fire in your inventory then it will take up 4 Grand charm slot and you will have 4 slot lesser to place your skill charms.
Then you will also receive -75% to cold, lightning, poison and fire resist penalty.

Nobody needs more than 1 of these charms, so it’s only - resist on 1 element.

agree with that. my bad. maybe 2 if its a sorc with hybrid build?

Hybrid build for what?
Hybrids are if you can’t kill an immune. The whole purpose of the charms is to have no immunes.

You focus on 1 damage type.

Yeah, but can you break even with just 3 slots of inventory space? -75% res is quite a bit to cover with equipment.

Fire builds already use flickering flame which covers it.
Lightning builds will have to use more small charms with light res or gear specifically to max light res which means they are having it the worse
Cold res doesn’t matter as much
