What is your first ladder character & why?

What is your ladder plans?

What character are you starting ladder with? Why? Any particular reason behind this choice?

I was gonna roll a nova sorc for early key/cow farming… but once they made the changes to holy bolt, I knew I had to run a FoHdin. Reason being I’ve always loved FoH, but it hasn’t been anything but a PvP build. Now I can run an amazing looking build that is super effective in a good number of areas and with a class that is probably 2nd behind sorceress as far as early mobility.

Can’t play ladder due to character slot limitations, unfortunately.

Well you could, but you refuse to delete any existing characters… Its not like you are maxed out at 20, just limited.

Hopefully they take care of this oversight or atleast give up the reason for it.

Sorceress… Teleport… And shes pretty. And shes good at turning monsters into charbroiled electrified popsicles.

I usually roll sorc because I mean… tele. However this time I’m going with summon druid. I love the way they made them work now so its a viable build to go full summon druid.

key runner

i have no interest in level 99 grind

and i have no interest in finding gear. since my non ladder toons are the only ones that matter. sooo all thats left is keys for torch farming i guess.

gambling/crafting is also out since im not power leveling into the 90s anyway

Sure you could, you are just choosing not to. You are placing more value on 1 of your 20 characters, than playing ladder. Which is perfectly fine, but it is a choice.

While I appreciate all the new “viable” novelty builds, they are just that. The devs are too scared to shake up the meta so we’re left with cold sorc as being the only way to min/max a ladder starter. So I’ll be rolling cold sorc. Again.

I am doing a big D trav/pit barb and I might gamble on the first torch I get as bear barb which class/specc I run next.

Fire wall of course, with nature of peace ring. Even if they nerfed fire wall, I’m betting it still viable build, with snowflakes
