im 99% sure they said this before d2r was launched. now all of a sudden im seeing rumours that reset is 4th may? how is 16th feb to 4th may 4 months?

will there be any new stuff with season 4 ? class balance? item balance ? new difficulty mode norm / nm / bright / inferno ( players8 solo )?
or is season 4 just a reset then you can also let season 3 continue! lol
They want you guys to have a month and some change to get bored of D2 so when D4 drops you guys will buy it out of FOMO

They should have just extended season 3 until after D4 release and they might have gotten a few more starters for D4 launch. Nobody cares about ladder after 4 month.

You have to remember, they ONLY cater to D2stores and all of their alts. If the season gets shorter and shorter the D2stores make more money. So, you will never see a long season like we used to have as it directly affects the employee owned D2stores profits. They don’t care about you the player. You are nothing, D2stores/botters rule what happens at this gaming company.
By making it shorter and shorter the average player will get bored and go away and all you will have left is botters. Great job in killing the game programmers, great job!!!
im not sure where u get the idea that that programmers are the one making decisions like this… its the scummy management that is the same on that did micro-transaction in pay to win… aka activation… programmers write code… please yell at the managers for these designs .
yell at the programmers for not being able to fix code sure… for making stupid mistakes like week 1 sunder issues, sure… but this BS is a management decision.

Also we have no official statement from d2r team ladder is even resetting.
They are a corporation, they have more pressing matters. D2R is the LEAST of their worries. We might love our game but it is in a position where they cannot justify spending development money for it because there is absolutely no return! Think about it, even if they implemented all the terrible + good ideas this forum cries about daily (p8 online, ploot, higher drop rates, SSF ladder, banned all bots and d2jsp users, stacking currencies, etc) today, how many people do you think are out there that will finally buy a copy of d2r???
At this point they probably still sell more d3 copies monthly, immortal makes d2r look insignificant and d4 is their current baby they are about to birth…
february 16th was last reset, so march 16th then becomes 1 month since, april 16th becomes 2 months, may 4th… not even 3 months

To announce time frame was never good thing in the first place. Seasons should be restarted based on state of trade economy and equipment needs. Not just after certain number of days.

I really don’t like how they divided the community further by announcing d2 ladder as a side note on a horrible d4 stream.
